Tough choice, these are the two I am having on my wish list as well.Which 5 motif bracelet would you choose if you could only have one: 5 motif hammered RG or 5 motif carnelian/guilloche?
It’ll be my first and (most likely) only 5 motif. I also have the sweet 6 motif and love it so I’m considering the 5 motif for days I want something more substantial on my wrist. Both are pretty so I’m having a difficult time deciding. I think I would get more wear with the hammered as the carnelian/guilloche seems more dressy…but it gives a nice pop of color and the guilloche is nice and shiny. The hammered is shimmery, gives the look of pave and would go with everything. Hard to decide…Tough choice, these are the two I am having on my wish list as well.
I would say hammered RG if it's your 1st VCA bracelet, because it's versatile and carefree and can be an everyday piece.
I already have the sweet 6 motif hammered RG bracelet, so I will most likely get the Carnelian/Guilloche to add some color. As I am mostly wearing blue/turquoise and greens and if neutrals then black and a bit of grey, this would not be an everyday piece for me.
So pretty! 🤩This is mine glowing in the sunlight
Yes, the carnelian/guilloche is beautiful…I’m trying to think if I would wear it often though. The hammered would be more versatile as you mentioned. How is your hammered YG holding up? Did it oxidize/get darker over time? I prefer RG but considered the YG to be different from my 6 motif but I like brighter, lighter YG and was concerned the YG might be too yellow for me personally.I think the carnelian/guilloche is so gorgeous, and much more beautiful than the hammered. But I voted for the hammered since you said it would be your first and likely only 5-motif. In that case I think it’s good to have something more versatile for all occasions and outfits. I have the hammered YG myself and really do love not having to baby it like my other stone pieces, even onyx.

I vote hammered just because it’s so easy to wear and I love how shimmery it is whereas with guilloche, I find that it tends to lose its shine pretty fast and you’d need to clean it often if you want it looking good as new. Hammered is something I can put on without having to worry or think about scratches - and honestly I fall more and more in love with it everyday. I’ve also noticed that the YG guilloche tends to darken in colour and lose its shine pretty fast (it could be due to my body chemistry). And frankly, I don’t really like how the YG guilloche gold looks after a while….. it looks better after I clean it or bring it to the store for a cleaning but honestly, who has time for thatYes, the carnelian/guilloche is beautiful…I’m trying to think if I would wear it often though.
