Has anyone ever planned and saved and saved for a jewelry item and then completely changed mind BEFORE purchasing it? If so, what was the item and did you just fall out of love or find something different? For the most part, I do not change my mind on jewelry, just clothing sometimes!

I do sometimes and usually it ends up being the right choice. I was all fired up to save for a Cartier love bangle next year and a Tiffany swing ring.
Now that the time is getting closer (Feb), I am leaning towards the biggest Tiffany Diamond By the Yard solitaire I can afford.
I've always loved all three pieces, but the DBY solitaire is calling the loudest right now.
I know myself now to just save and make my final decision when I am actually at the boutique. I don't have anything like LV or Tiffany's in my area, so I have to wait until we go to Vegas usually.

i change my mind all the time, and ALWAYS end up buying BOTH (*sign)! i wanted a RG love bangle in July, and since bf said he would get me one, i went on bought the Roadster and Tiffany diamonds by the yard bracelet. Then after i get the Love cuff for my bday, i still can't get the RG bangle off my mind, and im getting it next month.....:sweatdrop:

VC&A alhambra pendant.. I got all excited before the price increase, but then I looked at it objectively and it just seems like a lot of money that I could be putting towards something better. :shame:

Yes. I'd been searching and searching for a wide band style ring, with an open design and small diamonds, design all around. After a couple of years of searching for something I was doubting existed, I finally found the perfect ring at Tiffany, and asked my husband to get it for me for Christmas. This was about 8-9 years ago. When we went to try it on for the final time and make the purchase, I just couldn't do it. I loved the ring, but it was so hideously overpriced that I just couldn't make the purchase. I knew if I'd walked out of the store with that ring, as much as I loved it, I'd have felt like a sucker for paying so much for it. I never regretted not buying it.

I never posted pictures before! When my kids aren't busy like watching the world series (Go Phillies), I'll have to ask them to show me. I would love to learn how cause I always want fashion advice and it is sooo much easier when you have pictures.

I was going to buy a VC&A alhambra pendant pendant, but after looking at them in person decided they didn't 'wow' me enough to justify the price. I used the money instead to buy a rose gold diamond eternity band.
