30th birthday present

long term V&A fan. My 30th birthday is in March and my fiancé has asked me to think about what I would like.

I am lucky enough to already own the following:
1x Alhambra gold necklace (mother of Pearl)
1x Sweet Alhambra rose gold necklace (carnelian)
1x Sweet Alhambra rose gold bracelet (carnenlian)
1x Sweet Alhambra bracelet in gold (mother of Pearl)

I’ve always loved the 5 motif Alhambra bracelet - my question for you is should I ask for the mother of Pearl 5 motif bracelet OR the 5 motif in gold with Onyx and which I also think is stunning. I saw it on Adele years ago and it stopped me in my tracks!

I was debating a Cartier love bracelet (thin one) but I think the van Cleef is more classic - what do you guys think? I would love some advice! I have dark fair-medium skin tone, green eyes and brown hair. Xxx

since you already have a sweet bracelet in MOP, i think you should go for the onyx, although they’re both beautiful and classic, you really can’t go wrong with either. onyx is more durable as well.

I agree with sunny - go for onyx so you have something different. Would you consider VCA earrings?

I’d still try on the Cartier pieces though because, why not?

I have both the Cartier love bracelet and a 5 motif bracelet in solid gold and I love my love bracelet more. It’s a simple modern design and goes with literally everything I wear, whereas I feel like the 5 motif bracelet is more feminine.

I'd go VCA Onyx, because you have the MOP covered. The Cartier is too minimal and industrial for my taste.

I would get vca at this point. I feel like love bracelets are dated (coming from someone who wears 3 daily!). The onyx is gorgeous! Go try it on and see if you still love it.

I started with one (birthday present from my mom 10 years ago), then added 2nd and 3rd for my kids’ births. And then added perlee clover for my 3rd child birth. I wear all 4 together most days to free up my other arm for other bracelets. I plan to add the white perlee clover and diamond bangles and alternate wearing bangles and vca. I don’t notice the weight. I run most morning too with the loves on. Not an issue at all.

I totally agree! The stores in London don’t open now until the 12th April so I will have to wait a bit longer after my birthday. I’m excited to try them on! Thanks for all the advice guys x
