I'm turning 30 at the end of this month and would like to get something special to commemorate the occasion. Our budget is $5000-$6000 range but flexible. In terms of designer jewelry, I have Cartier LOVE cuff (YG), Cartier amulette necklace in onyx (RG), and VCA alhambra necklace in MOP (YG) as well as pieces from Jennifer Meyer and Jennifer Fisher. My designer bag collection includes: Givenchy Pandora, Balenciaga City, Goyard Artois, Saint Laurent SDJ, Proenza Schouler PS1, Chanel WOC, and Mulberry Lily.
My options are:
1) Cartier tank francaise (two-tone)--I sold my SS tank solo recently because I wear YG almost exclusively (except for my platinum wedding set) and felt like it clashed with my other pieces. Other than that, I LOVE the tank style and can see myself wearing this everyday.
2) Chanel boy--I think this bag is beautiful and almost bought it last year. They didn't have my dream combo--navy caviar with champagne hardwear) in store so I got a navy SDJ instead--but I still dream about this bag. It makes my heart sing like nothing else, but I do wonder how much utility I can get out of it since I'm in academia. It might be too flashy for most occasions...
3) Cartier rainbow love (RG)--this is my HG item in terms of jewelry. My plan was to get this as a push present--hubby and I are going to TTC this year--but rumors of Cartier discontinuing this makes me wonder if I should just go for it now.
4) Something else?
I wear mostly Vince, Theory, Equipment, and Rag&Bone on a daily basis, Lululemon casually, and Reformation and Self-Portrait for fancier occasions. I would say my style is pretty similar to the street style of Karlie Kloss, Emma Stone, and Meghan Markle (before her marriage).
