3 small knicks (lines) on the LEft C of chanel logo

quick question. got my first chanel, a classic jumbo flap in caviar with gold hardware..there are three small lines at the base of the left C on the intertwining CC logo lock. Anyone know why they are there or if it means anything? thanks!!
