1) Must Rolex owners wear Rolex everyday to prevent it from losing time?
2) Do some Rolex owners rotate with different style or designer watches?
3) Which do you think will hold more value in future - ladies datejust or mid-size?:supacool:

Rolexs are automatic so that have to stay moving to keep time. They can remain still for a day or 2 and reatin the time but that is about it. You can buy a watch winder that will move rotate the watches every hour or so.

I have 2 rolexs and 2 michele watches. I do rotate them depending on what sort of mood I am in

As for holding value, all rolexs hold value over time. I have the ladies datejust and the midsize. just go for what your like, value with of rolexs are consistent over time

If you wear your Rolex for at least 8 hours a day, it should not lose time......given the normal wrist movement. Typing doesn't count, as the wrist barely moves. The longest mine went without wear was about 16 hours before losing minutes. Otherwise, invest in a good watch winder.

I have been wearing my chanel J12 since christmas, so my rolex (lady datejust) has been in its box, apart from to one charity ball (where the rolex was more fitting to my dress).

It doesn't bother me at all that, while my rolex sits in its box, it isn't keeping time. Should it bother me? Why bother with a winder when I am not wearing it?

Not all Rolex are automatic. There is also an all mechanical/manual Rolex, which is the Cellini. You have to continuously wind them up , like other mechanical/manual watches, to keep running whether you wear them or not.
