24P Sweetheart Flap - Please help me choose a size!

I'm currently debating between choosing the mini for it's cuteness and how it looks on my frame vs choosing the medium as I currently don't have any larger bags in my collection. My collection so far has mainly been minis or wocs or other smaller type bags from Chanel as well as from other fashion houses.

For reference, I am petite and 5'0. Would you choose a bag for it's cuteness and how well it fits on your frame and continue down the path of smaller bags or choose a bag more for it's practicality and function but may look a bit too large on me? While I love how small bags look on me, every now and then, I do tend to wish that I had a larger bag given its limited capacity. However at the same time, I also don't own a chanel mini in black at the moment (only in grey) so I'm very conflicted about which size to choose.

I've attached a picture of the 3 sizes the Sweetheart flap comes in and put an arrow above the 2 sizes I am debating between. Also attached a picture of someone holding the medium larger size I am considering compared to a smaller version of it so you can see how it looks being held by someone.

Would love everyone's thoughts on this! Thank you

Hey there, I would suggest you go for the mini. It's a winner. It's a very classic style and works as an everyday bag and in future if larger bags come in style or your needs change, it can still be used as an evening bag. I am 5'4 for reference but very skinny, so the mini looks perfect on my frame. I believe it would look even better on you. Good luck! 💕

It’s funny because last year I had the same dilemma but with the pink colour. I purchased the medium and returned it for the small. I felt like the medium because my boutique didn’t get the small. I felt it was less structured looking and the CC felt too small in proportion to the size of the bag. It was about the same size as my small 19 bag.
I am very happy I got the medium. The cute sweetheart design feels more well suited to a smaller bag and I like the more structured feeling it gives. I am 5’3.

Thank you!! You are right that the mini one definitely fits my frame better and will be very cute in the future for going out if bigger bags come back into style.

LOL I'm sure we're not the only ones who had this dilemma. Thank you. Your pics and thought process was super helpful. I'm still deciding but leaning a little more to the mini compared to when I first posted.

Yes I agree that their small bags are so much cuter. All my recent bags were in that size range too but I tend to like to overpack sometimes so I really had to train my mind to downsize.

I’m having a similar dilemma as you, between the small and the medium. I’m going for the medium as I do not want to ‘squeeze‘ my things into a smaller bag. I have last year‘s camellia crush, the one with length 23 cm and I just find the small and mini ones with lengths 19 cm and 20 cm to be too small now

Ooh the camellia crush in 23cm is very beautiful :D and i hope you enjoy your new medium sweetheart! I keep switching back and forth personally. I think I'm too used to seeing myself with smaller bags so the medium kind of
overshadows my frame in my eyes (but could also be a function of im not used to it yet). I completely agree that a bag should fit my lifestyle rather than the other way around.

I‘ve reserved the medium sweetheart but need to head to the store soon to pick it up:)… 1’m 5’2. It fits all the things I carry daily…

That's so exciting!!! I hope you enjoy the new bag :D and yes totally agree, i was very relieved that my boutique has them in stock! Thank you for the height reference and your thoughts on this. I will think through all the points everyone's said so far while I make my decision.

It’s confusing because there are 3 sizes. Maybe it’s me that’s confused :giggle: but there’s a mini and a small which is middle sized one. I got this one last year. It’s the same length as the mini but just a bit taller and looks more like a square mini. That’s the one I would recommend
