21st birthday present - budget of around $1k - Chanel, LV, Gucci?! Help!

Hi everyone! I turn 21 soon and my family knows how much I love handbags, so they're letting me choose one for my birthday. I have a few handbags, but the only premier designers I own are Chanel (pre-owned, bought this myself) and Prada (vintage, hand me down from mom).

I want to keep the budget around $1k because I don't really want to venture into the uber-expensive bags until I graduate college. My only requirements are that the bag can be used everyday, and ideally has a zip or flap closure! I want it to be something classic that will last me a long time.

My style: I love dressing up, I love heels, I wear a lot of black, gold watch/jewelry and I like things to be classic and elegant with a little trendy twist.

Ideas so far:

• Gucci Soho Disco Crossbody
• Celine Luggage Mini OR Nano
• Something from LV??

I don't carry a ton of stuff. Ideally the perfect bag would be for everyday use but not too casual. That's why I'm iffy about LV. I love the way their monogram looks (and if I get LV, I want canvas) - I even have a pochette cles in DE, but for some reason every time I think of using LV myself, i feel like it doesn't suit my style well. I've been on and off about a speedy for years :|

The speedy is a great bag. It's a classic, fits a lot while being lightweight, can be dressed up or down, needs no maintenance and is undestructible!

I have two Gucci Soho Disco bags (black and red) and I love them! They fit the essentials, are lightweight, have beautiful leather, are durable and go with everything! And the crossbody style allows you to be hands free, which I also love! I would go with the regular leather Disco in black.

The Celine bags you mentioned are around $3k I believe. I personally like the speedy as well, but if that isn't quite your style, you should check out the Alexander Wang Rocco or Rockie. Good luck!

The Celine Mini Luggage is gorgeous but for me I found it was not an every day bag since it was so heavy. Also I'm not sure how easy it would be to find one for $1K. For an every day bag I love my Bal Classic City in black but I think it's an edgier look that can be dressed up or down. Since you're looking for something elegant I'd recommend the small Givenchy Antigona. It's under $2K if preloved, I believe.
