21P gold mini CF

Hi ladies and gents,

I am seriously considering buying the 21P gold rectangular mini but I don’t own any metallic leather bags and am a little scared of how the bag is going to end up looking after I start using it.

Do any of you have had issues regarding the gold leather tarnishing or fading? It is lambskin so I plan to be careful while I use it but do you have to be extra extra careful? Can gold leather pass the test of time?

I’ve only used my M/L CF a handful of times that’s in metallic/ iridescent lambskin. I’ve had no issues so far with wear. My understanding is that this leather is a little more durable than regular lambskin and I also don’t have an issue with regular lambskin.

And yes gold is a nice neutral that should be able to wear for years to come and in every season.

I had to come back and correct my original post. I always thought metallic and iridescent were essentially the same but I found out today that they are not. Metallic supposedly can rub off where iridescent tends to be more durable.

Ha! But is this one iridescent? Because I’ve seen some sellers advertise it as such on IG but I’m not sure...

This new gold mini as well as the silver one are divine! Can’t wait to start seeing people post their purchases of these. I like the metallic pieces in smaller sizes so mini is perfect.

You can try searching using keywords that might take you to threads with pictures. Usually I look under the Chanel Shopping threads to catch pictures of upcoming collections. The members on this forum are great at providing whatever intel they come across
