It seems that wine and purple are replacing PINK as top fashion colors.
Also silver is big for shoes (and ? handbags). And handbag styles
are moving more to 'normal' with tiny, tiny, tiny, miniscule bags
going out of fashion. Also wide stripes are out and being replace by
polka dots. 😁 And tailored clothing and belted waists are in.

What are you hearing/seeing about 2024? We sometimes see color trends
reflected in Dooney handbags, if we are lucky. I'd love to see more purple
and shades of lavender.

My husband commented to me that I didn’t have a purple bag. Yes please, I like purple, plum, wine, and violet… I don’t have any pink bags either… I’m glad normal sized bags are making it back to the ’it’ bag style. i can’t wait to see all the new styles in 2024

Time to add these colors to your 2024 wish list. 😁

This bag & designer has got my attention thanks to a TPF poster in "what bag are you carrying today".The only downside I see on these bags are they have no feet. I adore the magnetic closures & clean lines

An amethyst satchel on Facebookā€˜s Dooneynista Den caught my eye earlier in the week along with a Florentine Kingston in chestnut that is so rich it almost looks bordeaux. Then the post that took my breath away was a Florentine satchel in mauve. It’s such a pretty soft color that would look great in the spring.
As I try to shop my own closet, I often overlook my Zip Zip in magenta. It’s just a tad smaller than I like but I still love this color.

Someone said in the comments that they had the same florentine mauve satchel and never carried it… my mouth just dropped. That mauve is way to beautiful, I’ll carry it for them LOL
that Chestnut Kingston was beautiful! Did you see the chestnut zip flap foldover crossbody? It looked crimson to me but she said it was chestnut. It was in such good condition and the color was stunning. There’s a violet satchel with pockets that’s flirting with me, whispering my name. The color is AH-MAZE-ZING!

Looking forward to ALLLLLLLL the pretty spring colors. Geranium is sooooo pretty and I would like it in my collection. Cmon spring sales, Mother’s Day sales, clearance sales… leaf, pale blue, peach, lavender, violet, raspberry, sunflower, ginger….

Violet Florentine leather is a stunning color. Worth adding to your collection if you
can find a bag in the right condition, style, and price.

I think mauve is an acquired taste. I have 2 Dooney mauve handbags (not Flo)
but I never reach for them. They are too neutral for me and I haven't figured
out how to get the right impact when styling them. I like the mauve color,
but like taupe and deep taupe, I haven't figured out how to use them in
a way that makes me happy.

But back to mauve Florentine..... there were a lot of complaints about handbags
in mauve Flo.... uneven color, lots of texture or uneven pebbling. The term
'old cow' was used by some to describe the mauve leather. Don't know if
it was the batch of leather that was used when they ran the mauve color last
time around. I heard of issues with the Russel bag in mauve and also with
some other styles. So if you are buying a mauve preloved.... ask your questions
and look at pictures so that you aren't surprised.

Lololololol…. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL OH MY STOMACH LOLOLOLOLOLOL @ old cow!!!! Oh my goodness I needed that laugh LJ thank you! That is hilarious. I have not seen a mauve flo for sale. It looks very muted rose/gray to me. I do have a couple of blouses in this color, silk, chiffon, cotton gauze. It is beautiful but it’s not vibrant and didn’t whisper like that violet. The few violet flos I’ve seen are big bucks. I could get a few bags for what they want for them. If I EVER see the zip flap foldover in violet, NO HESITATION AND NO SLEEPING ON IT. I will immediately purchase.

I have only seen the mauve in the Russell and now this small satchel. Fuschia has been making an appearance on qvc in a few styles. And it sells out so šŸ’Ø fast. There is a fuschia large satchel that’s caught my eye for a while in the Raleigh leather…. If the seller goes down some I’ll really think about getting it. I don’t really wear a lot of pink and that pop of color would be great.
