Has anyone tried the hack for the newly released 2023 Cosmetic Monogram Pouch GM (released in Feb)? I did and it's brilliant! I can’t take credit for this brilliant hack, but give the credit to youtuber "LuxedwithRo". I came across her hack the other night and was really impressed. Went to LV to check out the Cosmetic Pouch in person and was sold. It's such a great size for a bag! I was looking for a stylish cute carefree bag that I could take out to recreational outings and for travel and this fits the bill. Although it's not a cheap pouch, as a mid size LV "bag" it's somewhat inexpensive. It has a slip pocket inside and a zip pocket, and the interior is waterproof (like all cosmetic/toiletry pouches) which really is ideal for what I will use it for. It's so cute this way that it won't be just for recreational. :) What's nice is I can use this as a toiletry pouch too! I already had everything I needed for this hack at home minus the jumbo size rings. I had some rings that fit however it's too snug so the rings don't stay in the up position to keep bag balanced and from tilting forward or backward, so those Jumbo rings are a MUST. I ordered my Jumbo rings and I am just waiting for them to arrive. You can check her youtube to see exactly how it's done. It's so simple! This may become the new "Toiletry 26 hack". Here is the link to LV for the GM Cosmetic Pouch.

Ok I will do that. My rings should arrive this Sunday. Yes right now with the smaller rings the bag wants to roll over. Lol. Not a good look at all! Haha! With the larger jumbo rings it will work as they go up with ease and stay in the up position as you are wearing the bag. If you look at the youtuber's video, she has some mod footage and you can see how the bag is balanced even as she moves the bag around. I noticed these rings are selling out. Just fyi if you want to just get the rings now. There is only 3 in stock now. One day before I ordered there was 11. Went to sleep. Woke up and it was down to 9. Thought about it for about 1 hr, came back and it was at 7 (or 8) so I just bought. Just fyi but there is another vendor I saw selling them as well but it was $16.99 vs $12.99. Just fyi :) Here are pics of the inside. I'll take mod shots on Sunday after I get the rings.

Thank you for the interior shots ! Such a nice roomy pouch and potential versatility. I bought a reverse Vanity PM and it kept rolling which drove me nuts, so it went back. I hope the jumbo rings do the trick. Great hack !! Can't wait to see how you dress it up !

I really like this pouch!! It does look good turned in to a bag but I would be wary about putting too much weight in it - I’d be worried about eventually the rivets on each end tearing out from canvas.

Yes time will tell. As I look at the structure and where the rings will be placed, it doesn't seem it would be an issue. It appears that the canvas fold is stitched in the top part of the vachetta that goes thru to the body of the canvas and chaps have the rivet going thru it and thru the canvas. Appears solid, and I agree just because it can fit a nice size water bottle I definitely would do that. Lol. I have my LV mini pochet, another mini pochette from Dress Up Your Purse, a key cles and one from DUYP, glasses and a comb. I have everything I need inside. It's not light, but not heavy either. It really doesn't appear to put stress on the chaps at all. Maybe it's because there is slack in the folds? Not sure.

Typo! I meant to say just because I CAN put a nice size water bottle inside doesn't mean I will. That's what i meant. Lol

This looks really cute. I have tried similar with the old pm size, unfortunately I haven’t been able to slide d rings through all of the side pieces so it didn’t always work. I can’t find the thread from years ago but saved this picture of how it looked on another tpf’er. Credit to them, can’t remember the username!

Yes that is super cute! :) I think these are the rings you need to stick thru the tiny opening of the vachetta of your cosmetic pouch. I saw this hack too. I don't know if this is the exact size you need but I believe this is what type of ring you need to do the hack.

Yes, I have bought these types of rings in gold and silver to match hardware of my cosmetic pouches. I found it worked on my mono and multicolour pouches, but the side pieces of my Epi and Epi electric pouches were too stiff so I couldn’t slide the bar through.

Oh bummer. I heard a youtuber place a teenie screw driver thru the slot and leave it in over night to stretch the leather. I never tried this as I don't have that type of case but thought I would mention it to you in case you wanted to try it. :)

Where exactly is the d ring attached? It looks like with weight inside the bag that they squeeze and rub against the canvas. I would look at pictures with bag worn to see where the d rings are sitting.

Hi there! I'm still waiting for my rings to be delivered, it should be today sometime but here are snap shots of youtuber LuxedwithRo showing the rings on her Cosmetic Pouch GM, which is who I discovered this cool hack from. It doesn't appear to squeeze the canvas but lay up against it. It stays in that one area as the width of the fold gets wider then what the opening of the rings are, so no shifting up towards the top of the pouch but just laying in the one area you see pictured. When wearing the pouch as a shoulder bag the rings stay in the up position but when bag is placed down, the rings flop to the down position but still remaining in the same spot.. You will need to flip the rings in the up position when grabbing the bag so it's balanced while wearing but LuxedwithRo states the rings do stay in the up position while wearing the pouch so you will not have to keep fussing with the rings. I'll take pics of mine once I have it together.

Hi there! Sorry for the delay on the pics but here they are. :) I received my jumbo rings and they really do make a difference in balancing the bag as the rings stand up (and stay up when you're wearing or holding the strap by hand). They remind me of hoop earrings! Lol. I tried it with the different straps that I own to give you and anyone interested an idea of the different looks that you can achieve. I found a "Coussin" chain on Etsy in different sizes, so I ordered a gold one in 16 inches which will allow me to drape it along the front of this pouch and other bags I own. My Coussin chain (the real one) is way too long for that but will work ok as a shoulder strap. With the jumbo hoops the bag does not tilt when the hoops are in the up position and when you have the bag on your shoulder (or crossbody). When I do place a charm thru the zipper pull, the bag tilts forward just a teenie weenie bit and that's only when I'm holding the bag up in the air, but when it is against my body, it's perfect. If you don't mind the look of the large rings (hoops) on the sides and having to adjust the rings each time you pick up your bag (all but 2 secs) you may enjoy this bag! Each time the bag is placed down off your shoulder onto a table, counter, etc, the hoops do fall back down. For me it's not a big deal.

It's pretty roomy. There is a zip pocket and a slit pocket, and the interior is completely wipe able. With the price under $1k and me having all I needed on hand at home other then the jumbo rings ($12.99 usd), it was a go for me as I was looking for a casual but cute everyday bag that is care free. I'm happy with my purchase :) I included pics of the pouch next to my Speedy 20 for size comparison.

Hope this is helpful! :)
