Another Jimmy Choo bag
A black Valentino bag(I don’t know the model name but it would fit everything I need)
Exotic or Touch Bleu Marine Hermes

Already planned wishlist for 2024 I’m afraid!

@poleneceline wow our wishlist is the same, except I want them in tan cos all of my bags are black
I have the Celine triomphe bag in black medium size, and the celine ava in white canvas. I love them, highly recommend.

I thought I'd wait until I found a good deal for each bag on my wishlist, but then I did, and to my surprise, I realize I didn't want to spend the money to get a new bag. I'm surprised at myself.

Wow, that’s really good willpower!

I’ve seen one l like which is affordable which I’m not sure whether or not I’ll buy-I’d use it …but would I still love it in 20 years time?
I’m also due a day out an 2-3 months time to a very high end outlet village where I think I Will buy a bag, just because if I don’t, I’ll travel a long way and spent a lot of money on clothes instead which I don’t really need..

If I didn’t have the day out planned, I’d probably save the money towards a bag on my Wishlist -one of my Siamese cats has renal failure so my fur babies are costing an awful lot atm…so H bags aren’t really an option right now(although I did buy my Tsako in December)..

Well done to you anyhow!

I have noticed I keep opting for roomier bags I care less about over the smaller (but still "everyday") bags I've spent $$ on. So my 2023 goal is to curate a WL of bags which I will actually use over my $40 H&M book-tote dupe (although I maintain the H&M version is better than Dior's, not least for boasting an internal zip pocket).

If I throw in the entire concept of home-ownership in the near future this would look like a Loewe Flamenco, a Bottega maybe???, and a Celine Box.

If I continue to be ~financially responsible it's gonna be whatever I can find which can fit my essentials + a hardback (recs welcome). I'm trying to be more local in my purchases, seeking out Australian/Kiwi brands.

I’m not really up on Kiwi brands, unless Oroton is one?

Your other choices sound great-congrats on home ownership-I’m also considering a Bottega, although when I go bag shopping I May succumb to another Jimmy Choo, although they’re no longer the same quality as when mine was produced.

I also have a WL, but yours sounds very practical and organised and based on experience -mine is based on the size bag which I know I’ll get the most use out of as well but less practical than yours!

Good luck-please update with your progress ..

I also have a trip planned in a few months with a friend to go shopping, so I will try them on then and see if I buy them in person. My wallet and savings and safe for now, but never say never, right?

Definitely, when you see them in the flesh you may succumb, I know that when I go bag shopping in a few months I will-it will be which one, not if!?!xx

My only consolation is that I have had a pretty set wishlist this entire year, and I have no interest in getting other bags. That I'm pretty sure of. I will add these two to my collection or not, but either way I'm done. I'm not interested in other brands. I can't imagine how people manage a constantly growing collection and wishlist, whether it be finances-wise or time-wise. The time it takes to research each bag and try them on is only fun at the beginning of a "purse journey" but it became a drag for me. I have so many other things to do and enjoy personally.

That's why I checked my finances today and made sure my credit cards were paid off and savings were in a good place. I have a few months to save up more money. I don't think buying bags or luxury goods is necessarily always a bad thing when it comes to personal finance because it motivates me to save more and manage my money better.

If you do get a Celine Box Bag, definitely go the preloved route. I got a very good condition one for around 2k, when brand new it costs almost 4k. Otherwise, there are a ton of bags out there that have the same look and are way cheaper. I think it's nice but I don't think it's a life-changing bag. The clasp is hard to use; I prefer the triomphe clasp for ease of use. And it doesn't hold that much, despite the fact that I have the medium.

(I'm with you when it comes to home ownership. I'm planning on living with family forever. xD )

Tbh I too have a set wishlist but this year my budget just doesn’t allow it, I’ve returned a bag and and gifted one, creating a vacancy, and am too impatient to wait until next year for an investment piece-I just hope I don’t end up with a bag I regret this year..

@poleneceline I think you’ve done quite well with your wishlist if I’m not mistaken?
I’ve added a bag called a Petit Sascha to mine-which I May not buy until next year depending on the health of my Siamese Tammy, but I’m determined to buy in blue anyway, I usually go for structured bags but it’s more of a bucket bag..but the perfect size..
I have 2 handbag shopping days booked, but this bag is either online or to buy on holiday and needs saving up for..
I’ve made room for new bag purchases by selling 2 and gifting some(not many!)- I’m ready now to move forward with my 2023 wishlist.
I Very nearly bought a 1950’s black croc H, but backed out mainly due to vets bills, also because I prefer blue to black..but I’ll know when I’m 100% sure..
