2021 Quarantine in South Korea + Surgery - Planning

Hi, everyone! Not sure how many of you still remember me but I wanted to thank you all who have reached out to me when I was looking for plastic surgery buddies in December of last year. Unfortunately, my plan got delayed and I went in March, 2022 and stayed for slightly longer than 1 month. It has been more than a month since I came back to my own country and I think now I am ready to write my long overdue review. **Shout out to Brian, the translator then who became more like my plastic surgery guardian. Told you I would write you a review!

Parts I wanted to consult about : cheekbone, jaw line, eyes, nose, lip corner. Then added breast augmentation as well.

Clinics I have visited : a) Clinics I picked : TS, DA, Marble, Nana, The Plus b) Clinics I visited with my local Korean friends : Darum, AB, ID.

Not going to even talk about the clinics I've visited with my Korean unnies because the whole experience was basically a waste of time. Tips for ya'll, don't think all local Koreans will know well about Korean plastic surgery. I was really shocked when they recommended ID to me. These unnies were mostly about "event price" and "clinic names" not really caring or knowing much about the doctors or surgical techniques.

I myself can speak very basic Korean and have some Korean friends in Korea. One of them actually recommended Brian to me during my first week in Korea when I kept asking about the doctors background information, academic achievement and surgery related stuff. I am sure most of you are interested in my clinic experience and don't really care about my experience with Brian so I will try not to share too much about this but it is really hard to talk about the whole process without mentioning him. Long story short, I am so happy and indebted to the fact I've decided to work with him.

Surgeries I went through in this trip : cheekbone, jaw and eyes-incisional double eyelid with epi.
One clinic tried to get me to do all the surgeries including the BA at once offering almost 50% discount and a sudden available surgery spot for the very next day from my consultation with them. I almost fell for it but Brian talked me out of it telling me all the possible risks. I am glad he talked some senses into me because my recovery was already hard even without those remaining surgeries. I am planning on getting my BA and nose in my next trip. Already picked which clinics I would probably go to. Ah, Brian talked me out of lip corner surgery as well. Telling me it's not necessary for me and how I'm not most suitable for that surgery. I agreed with him.

Tips on Online Quotes : Basically, it is really different from the final quotes you will get after in person consultation and discounts. I've tried asking for online quotes from all these clinics through various ways. 1. I tried in English and in Korean getting little help from google translate. 2. I asked my local Korean friends to ask for me in Korean. 3. For some clinics, I asked Brian to get quotes for me again when I already got brief quotes from them.
Not every clinic replied or gave me the quotes but mostly, the quotes were all different for each method. For example, TS has quoted me high when I asked in English, lower when Brian asked in English then even lower when my unnies asked in Korean. Nana quoted lower when my unnies asked in Korean, the lowest when Brian asked in Korean then suddenly changed thier words saying those quotes were for picture use patients.
So for the online quotes, DA > Nana > TS > The Plus > Marble. From higher to lower quotes.

Quotes after in person consultation and Discount : Nana > The Plus > Marble > TS > DA. If you have read what I wrote above, you would know what happened with some clinics and why the order changed so dramatically. Although I told you I will try not to talk about Brian too much, he knew what he was doing when it came to the negotiation. He got more discounts than what my local Korean friends could do and insisted on letting him watch the live CCTV during my surgery when some clinics tried to come up with excuses or alternate options like showing us a footage after the surgery and such. This and how he helped me during my recovery period made me his fan. Honestly, I don't even care at this point if some people accuse me as his promoter. I hope my review helps his business.

Consultations : Actually, this is getting longer than I expected. I will write the Consultation, Surgery, After Surgery parts as Part II.

Since I still want to give you what you are most curious about, I had my surgeries at TS for my cheekbone, jaw and eyes. I am planning on getting my nose at The Plus and breast at Marble in my next trip. If you have any questions, sure you can PM me but to save you some time, I will not share any pictures or private information. But anything regarding the surgeries and my experience in Korea, I will try to answer as much as I can!

Would've been better if this was on one of 2022 threads? I am sorry maybe there is a reason, new here so I don't know the system yet. Anyways, thank you for sharing and looking forward to Part 2 because those clinics are on my list too and I am interested in a translator and medical care service too!

Due to the new variant for COVID, I'm afraid that's what is going to happen.
I believe we have enough time in between now and November to lose some weight. You mentioned liposuction (which I previously considered) but thought if I put some effort to working out, I wouldn't need the procedure (hopefully)...

We can do it!

Hello Jenny,

I'm aiming for a one-stop-shop due to my schedule restrictions, which is difficult since my previous surgery clinic doesn't really specialise in v-line surgeries. This is honestly a really great shame since they did such an amazing job with my autologous rhinoplasty + paranasal implant and aftercare. I had three two in mind due to great responses via Whatsapp:
  • Hyundai Aesthetics Plastic Surgery
  • Opera Plastic Surgery
I haven't made a deposit just yet (due to the COVID stuff happening) but will probably complete the deposit next month or so..

Thank you for some guidance during the quarantine period! If you don't mind, where did your sister have the v-line surgery done and is she happy with the results?
I think I can push for 12 days and some change... hopefully. Holiday season at the office is a bit more lenient. Fingers crossed!
Where do you go to get your paranasal implant? I'm interested in getting it too in Korea!
