2021 PSM Date Code Discontinued?

My co-worker just picked up her PSM from an LA boutique and was telling me that she couldn’t find the date code. I told her where mine (2020 version) was located and she told me hers doesn’t have a tag. She then texted her SA about this and he said 2021 models don’t have date codes. Is this true?

Pretty unprofessional in my opinion... normally SA should tell you at point of sale or when she first asked that the procedures has changed haha
