2021 Chanel Novelty Pearl Bag?

Lots of things make me scratch my head.

Why does this seller have 20? Why is it so cheap? (probably a dumb question, but I tend to trust the Japanese sellers).

Not sure I love it or would ever use this much, but for the price, I have to at least have a conversation with tPF pals!

There's a few on eBay, all from Japan. My bet is it's some VIP gift or promotional gift? It's not very big at 12cm in height. Might fit some lipgloss and coins?

Personally I’m very skeptical about this - first appearance of the bag, secondly price and also why would 23 VIPs all sell their gifted bags for a couple of hundred dollars. A quick search shows more of these for sale. I’ve received bags as gifts from Chanel and they are worth more than a couple of hundred dollars and I’ve rarely seen these particular items come up for sale (only once or twice)

I did a quick search on Mercari (an online shopping portal in Japan) and the bag pops up here and there (chanel novelty not for sale). I don't know if it's a VIP gift but it sounds like something that was given out at an event? It's more an ornamental thing but can be used as a micro bag from the description in Japan. But yes, there's a bunch of them so regardless of it being an authentic Chanel giveaway item, I'd prefer to put the money towards something else.
