The official launch of the Dior Gaucho, in buttery burgundy and off-white leather, with khaki denim as well. Tote, flap and evening bag versions. Fall 2006 continues with an enriched crocodile leather rendition, while winter offers darker, Gothic colours of the same.
Characteristics: saddle shape. lambskin links, contrast topstitching along with perfectly accenting antiqued silver metal hardware. calfskin shoulder strap with antiqued silver metal links and buckle which can adjust in size between a 11.5″ to a 14″ drop. 1947″ Christian Dior medallion and large key dangling from the front of the bag.
INSPIRATION: The reckless herders of Argentina, the 'Gaucho' pack. Their most treasured possession, the well worn leather saddle that accompanies them on every adventure this saddle, their trophy, "Just as for a woman, it is her handbag", says JG.
