Hi all,
I’m fairly new to Balenciaga and have acquired this aviator collection Twiggy bag (at least that’s what I can discern from the little I’ve found online.) I’d like to moisturize the leather but want to be sure of what type of leather it is before I do so. Is this goat leather?
I tried to look in the Aviator thread but it appears to be shut down or broken.
Any and all help is appreciated.

I had the bag, it is nubuck I believe, that was my impression but for sure it is not a smooth leather. I am not sure you can moisturizer it without making it greasy and ruin the beautiful soft texture.

@haisley has it too, and @Redbirdhermes , I hope they might chime in

I appreciate this! I thought that might be the case with the darker part. I’m too scared to tempt it. Seems like the trim may be another type of leather. This bag is so fascinating to me. Thank you for the insight!

Big congrats on this rare and super cool find! 🐑✈️

From what I’ve read, the 2003 Aviator Twiggy is made of grained lambskin — tough, textured, and built to last. I treated mine with Leather CPR when it arrived and it worked beautifully. Now I wear its scuffs like a badge of honor. 😊

Thank you so much! Will use Leather CPR tonight. It’s one of my favorite moisturizers. 🥰
