2.55 bag lining

Hi everyone!

I have always wanted a Classic flap in black caviar with GHW in the size M/L but I can't afford to buy from the store so I am searching for second hand option.

There, I saw some bag with burgundy lining, some with black lining. I always thought that it should have red lining but the bag that I saw with black lining was from a reputable website. Is it a sign of a fake? Or do the color of the lining is an option? :confused1:

Also do the lining should be in the same leather as the outside leather (caviar in a caviar bag, lambskin in a lambskin bag)?

Prior to fall 2010 the caviar black bags had black lining. When Chanel discontinued the single flap jumbo all the new double flaps ( m/l and jumbo) had burgundy linings. The bags you are seeing with black linings are older bags. Also, the linings are always leather on classic flaps.
