Hi everyone!

I hope you all are having a fantastic start to the year. I cannot believe it's already 2023. Where the heck has the time gone?

...

I'm here today to unveil my first LV purchase in over 12 years. I was a huge fan of LV. Made my first purchase in 2007 - a Monogram Canvas Speedy 40. Oh, I was so very proud of that bag and boy did that one purchase start a MASSIVE addiction. I became such a huge fan of the brand and I collected so many pieces in a short 4ish years. Then everything in my life changed. I had to sell off almost every item in my collection - for reasons I won't get into, but to see all the items I worked so hard for leave my home... it really broke me. I know that these are 'only' material possessions, but we work so hard for them and they're such wonderful works of art that we all appreciate. But here comes the good part. I'm finally in a good place. I'm financially independent again and I have a cushion - so if anything bad happens this time around, I won't have to sell off my possessions (higher power willing). I'm thrilled to be able to unveil my first purchase in 12 years.

Boy have things changed with LV since 2011. The packaging, the website ... THE PRICES!

& now a tiny tiny rant...

The back of the Dean Backpack. I was SO looking forward to the beautiful, sewn monogram on the back of the bag, but it was CHANGED unbeknownst to me. I still love the bag, don't get me wrong... but it would've been nice to know that they changed the bag. Did anyone know about this change?

The back of the new one is OK - I guess.

Thank you so very much for letting me share my reveal with you. tPF has always held a special place in my heart and I'm so happy to be here with you LV enthusiasts again.

Such lovely goodies! Wear them in good health!

Congratulations on your beautiful pieces. I also have the small zippy wallet and I love it. I use it for my Alma BB's, so I don't have to use my regular zippy wallet.

I love the backpack, and I think it's gorgeous. Don't worry about the back, it'll be on your back anyway, so nobody will really see it. I have no idea about the new or old design, but I think it's beautiful regardless. Enjoy and welcome back!

Congratulations, what a journey! Well done on making your way back and overcoming what you've gone through. I don't know the Dean backpack at all, am newer to LV, so this was nice to see, hope you like the new backing regardless!

Congratulations on your recent purchases! Your post was really enjoyable to read. Your positive attitude is inspiring and so is your perseverance! I am glad that things are going well for you.

You picked some great pieces. As another poster said, the back of the backpack won’t be seen but I see what you mean about the old monogram patterned stitching. It was a nice detail. Never mind though, just enjoy.

It’s been a long journey! I think that these pieces will now hold a special meaning for you every time you look at them.
