Hi all-

My wife’s birthday is coming up and she has been loving the 1955 bag, but also a different Celine. I’ve been trying to figure out if the 1955 is a limited production? I worry if I don’t get it this birthday, it may not be available another year. As always, thanks for the help!

It depends on:

Whether any variation/cw sell out and don't carry over (won't get remade). I have a feeling the Navy/velvet won't get remade even though it's quite popular.

You could buy now and save 'till next year as I have a feeling the price will go up, this model is very popular (Gucci increases prices of popular models).

You could also look at colours/variations on the catwalk that are not stocked yet (hair-calf, jade colour etc) and buy one later in the year.

Ah sorry, I misread the question the first time around.

The 1955 is very popular (not just influencers/celebs) and will be around for a while. New variations 1955s are already in the pipeline.

As @MooMooVT said, I'd still get a 1955 because different colours and variations are being sold out.

Hi! I just joined PF and was looking for advice on the 1955 horsebit as I'm about to pull the trigger on the navy. A bit bummed to learn it's soft leather, but i'm pretty careful with my bags so I *think* I'll be okay. Am curious though why you think the navy won't be remade? Thanks very much! This site sure is a deep rabbit hole to climb down... :)

It's a lot more work to make for the same price as the other leather variations
