15% off diamond rings at Blue Nile - please help!

Hello! DH is going to buy me the Garland Eternity Ring from Blue Nile for my 40th birthday in October. I just noticed the ring is 15% off today. Does anyone know if Blue Nile runs sales like this often? I've never seen a sale on their diamond rings before. I have seen sales on earrings and other things, though. Do you think I should get the ring now and save it for October, or just wait and take my chances on a sale closer to my birthday? 15% off is quite a savings for this ring.

Bluenile doesn't have sale son diamond rings all that often, most of the time it is a selection of jewellery that are mostly gemstone pieces..

Yes. We can pay with AMEX. How do I see the amount off for AMEX? Does that happen automatically? I've never ordered from them before. Thanks!
