#10yearchallenge Fashion Edition. Which bags have made the cut?

In the spirit of the latest internet challenge, #10yearchallenge, I’d love to see which bags are still going strong after 10 years and what they look like now.
Bonus points if you model them with other 10 year old clothes, shoes and accessories!

I only have three bags 10 or more years old. Two are the now discontinued Chanel single flaps jumbos that I scoured to Earth to find preloved:

2007: Grey lamb jumbo with ‘07 bijoux chain

2008: Ivory soft calf jumbo with ‘08 bijoux chain
And, I think I got this one in 2009, Prada mini double zip tote in tamaris saffiano w/ghw.

Regarding clothes. The only thing I have over 10 years old are

• Two business suits - a St. John that’s about 15 years old (I just changed the buttons on it to update it) and a 20 year old suit that still looks amazing on me. It was actually my first professional suit.
• An ivory sheared beaver hooded jacket. It was a gift from my mother and I adore that coat. It’s very feminine but perfect for casual wear.
• A pink semi formal that was my first really “nice” clothing item. My grandma bought it for me from Saks for my last college dance in my Senior year. I actually have had this thing restyled a bit and still wear it.

These are bags I have personally had for more than 10 years. Most were bought new. Vintage bags are a whole other story.

One of my first ever designer (Trussardi) bag, so much older than 10. It has an integral pouch inside.

Inherited 1990s Gucci BTH Summer bag (pic from a couple of years ago) with a Gucci Bamboo print scarf, the bag's so old they reissued it last Summer!.

BV lambskin hobo, way over 10

Suede Gucci Babushka and Ivory YSL Majorelle, just 10.

Still have ad carry MJ Venetia and Chloe Bay also way over 10, OK I have loads

Plus I've got lots of bags getting on for 10.

It's funny reading this post bc almost all of my bags are 10 years or older. I really haven't bought anything new in the past 10 years (have bought some vintage items while in the east coast tho) , just realized this a few months ago while fixing the LV PA strap (14 year old that I use every day). Life's been busy with moves and kids etc.

Since realizing this in October, I've been trying to buy bags to make up for it, it's hard tho bc so many basic items are out of stock and I would need like $20k...

I will post some pics later today but here one.

Interesting to see the different bags everyone has kept.
To me, the bags that first come to mind, other than the classics I’m probably never getting rid of, are my Chloe Bracelet Bags. I loved them then and still love them now.

When they first came out I was dying to get one but they were sold out. All I could get was a mini denim Piano one that had no stirrup, no CD hardware, no flap, meh...
I did buy this one that I still have and wear and is in fact 10 years old

We’re twins on the LV pochette, Gucci Jackie bag (but mine is black pony hair with bamboo handles), have a mini with the same Guccissima print and web and same classic Celine bag. So chic!!
I had a Murakami pochette or something but I got rid of because I couldn’t stand it anymore. Talk about FASHION FATIGUE and something that was EVERYWHERE!

I bet your pony hair and bamboo handle is nicer.. Haha but I do love my Jackie and love the web detail. Yes I hear you about the MC. Not only they were everywhere, the hideous fakes were out full force on those as well. I still love mine tho. It's a happy bag.

I have had my LV pochette in DE since july 2007. And my Botkier Sophie since september 2008. And a Max Mara SportMax I got in december 2008. Both the Botkier and Max Mara were pre-loved. And until december last year, I have had my mono Speedy 30 since february 2008, but I gave it to my mother. The Speedy was also preloved [emoji173]️

I think I misunderstood OP's post when I posted about the Saddle bag (oops!). I thought this was about bags that have lasted that long in fashion.

I only have three bags that I still have over 10 years later. I found my collection picture that I posted here back in 2012, and cropped the picture to show these 3 bags:

1) Prada glazed calfskin unstructured briefcase (one of my favourite bags of all time)
2) Dior Homme Deville washed lambskin tote (I still love the design and it's so easy to use)
3) Dior Homme coated canvas briefcase (my current work bag)



Looking at my collection photo from 2012 brought back a lot of memories. My collection looks so different now, save for the 3 that I kept.
