10 Sanguine similar to 07 Tomato Rouge???

Hi ladies,

I'm looking for a red bag and was hoping to find a shade similar to the 07 Tomato Rouge. I've not seen the 10 Sanguine as of yet. For those of you that have, hopefully you can help me answer some questions. Is the 10 Sanguine similar to the 07 Tomato Rouge in any ways? Is it lighter or darker? More muted? etc. Do you have a comparison pic? That'll be great. TIA.

2010 Sanguine? Do you mean 2010 Sang? or Tomate? Neither of them looks quite like Tomato IMO. Tomato's very spot-on red, very vibrant/bright. This season's Tomate has a lot more orange in it and Sang is darker.

I'd also like to know how sang compares to 07 tomato from the color swatches in the ref lib they look similar to me and that's what I'm hoping

How are they different

They are totally different reds. Tomato is a *brighter* red with warm orange tones, sanguine is more of a red with brick red undertones. Go to the "colors by season" thread, you'll find plenty of photos there. A description only goes so far, it would probably be more helpful for you to look at photos.

If you want a red similar to tomato, vermillion would be the next closest.

Exactly! Rouge Vermillion, which came before Tomato (biased because I have one), is similar to Tomato.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info ladies! I will see what happens tho....CUZ I HAVE A SANG CITY COMING. Couldn't restrain myself. So we shall see
