These are discounts from our local AD. I'm disappointed that they will only do 10% off rolex and I'd still have to pay tax. I'm a very good repeat customer and thought I'd get a better deal. So it looks like I'd be passing on rolex at this time. But I'm intriqued by the 15% off j12. Apparently they can do better on that cause they're packing them up for a transfer. They will now start to carry Christian Dior watches. What are your opinions of these discounts?

Interesting discounts you are being offered, it really does vary from AD to AD. I think AD buy their watches in from Rolex at around a 60% discount, so the price your AD offered you, they are making 50% profit still, some people would grab the discount and some will not. They tend to offer higher discounts on Bi colour and Gold models. Maybe see if they can offer you 15% on rolex, I dont know much about Chanel prices. You could perhaps get the item shipped to an out of town address, that may help on the tax issue.
Hi Sammyjoe - You probably wonder why I'm looking at watches when I'm supposed to be saving for my YG Love! It is complicated the way my billing cycles are but I can't get anything from Cartier until I pay off my Centennial Trinity. Otherwise I will get hit with interest of about $85 each month. So I'm working on paying off the Trinity so I can get the YG Love. I became a little sidetracked by watches! Definitely decided no go on rolex. I'm unsure of black j12 but should probably stick with my original plan and just do the bracelet. It is so hard waiting!

I actually have the white 38mm plain j12. So I don't know if I "need" the black which is with rubies and is a 33mm. If you had to choose between the Love bracelet or another watch (black j12), which would you get? BTW, my SA said although the Love collection can't be discounted, she would throw in a free gift. I'm a repeat customer so that may be the reason. The free gift is either a small Cartier wallet or the Trinity bracelet (no diamond) on a cord.
Oh, you already have a J12, well I would get the love bangle, or the black J12 without rubies. Its a tough one this. I would want both!! I am not keen on the rubies, diamonds yep, but rubies not sure on. I would also look at the 38mm instead of the 33mm only because I like bigger watches.

I'm beginning to agree on the rubies. But the big black will be a 38mm which is an automatic. I really don't think I want another automatic. I should try not to get distracted and stick with the bracelet as originally planned. I welcome opinions from others here!
My AD called yesterday. He made a mistake - the j12 he can transfer in is the 33 mm black with diamond markers (not rubies). Please tell me what to do! I have a plain white 38mm j12, a rose cuff Love, a centennial trinity Cartier bracelet and the 2009 charity one. Do I go for the YG Love bangle to wear with my rose cuff or is the 15% j12 to good a deal to pass? And I love the watch too!
I'd buy the watch I *really* want - irrespective of the whether it had a bigger or smaller discount. Since, I am not a fan of the J12 I would purchase the Rolex (which I own and love), if I had to make the decision you do.

Yes...otherwise you will end up wanting it anyway, and eventually buying it in the end. Shop around for a better discount. I know you can do better than 10%.
