    Following the performance by the Austin Symphony Orchestra at Zilker Park, a unique fireworks display over Town Lake will feature the ever-popular "1812 Overture," punctuated by 75 mm Howitzer cannons.
    One of Boston's most complex pyrotechnic displays ever will use more than 20,000 pounds of explosives, including shells that climb to 1,500 feet. This year's Boston Pops fireworks spectacular features rock singer John Mellencamp and the Boston Pop Esplanade Orchestra, in an event hosted by CBS's Craig Ferguson.
    Chevy's "Freedom Over Texas" will feature the largest land-based fireworks show in the U.S., as well as performances by country music duo Montgomery Gentry and the Randy Rogers Band.
    Los Angeles
    The Rose Bowl is home to the largest Fourth of July celebration in Southern California. Legendary fireworks company Pyro Spectaculars by Souza will fire off its creations to music by the California Philharmonic Orchestra.
    The music city's dazzling country-style celebration will kick off with music from Rodney Atkins, Taylor Swift and Van Zant and finish up with an extravagant pyrotechnic displays over Riverfront Park.

    New Orleans
    This year's Dueling Barges Fireworks Extravaganza will feature thousands of shells bursting into splendid colors over the Mississippi riverfront. Displays will be accompanied by the New Orleans Concert Band.
    New York
    Watch more than 35,000 pyrotechnic shells lighten up the sky over the Big Apple with more than 1,000 booms every minute. Macy's New York fireworks will launch from three locations above the East River
    With over 3 million visitors last year, Philly is ready for another year of one of the best fireworks displays in the country. This year's celebration also features a waterfront concert with R&B diva Chaka Khan, an opera and a carnival.
    From Italian electrical storms to parachute-suspended shells, this year's celebration, sponsored by Washington Mutual, will bring some of the most innovative and pyrotechnically advanced fireworks to the skies over Lake Union
    Washington, D.C.
    Watch thousands of swirls and bursts over the monuments on the National Mall after a breathtaking performance by the National Symphony Orchestra. A new pyrotechnic wonder called "The Cube" will debut, in which the shell explodes to look like numerous, three-dimensional see-through boxes.
  3. Wow I miss the East coast from looking at these wonderful pictures. I went to school at Harvard and grew up in New Jersey so for 4th of July we always had great shows. :crybaby:Sniff. I miss Boston!

I don't have a photo, but our little town, Southport, NC, has the biggest NC July 4th celebration. the population in town is about 3500 and about 30,000 visit each year for the festivities--parade and fireworks of course along with a 10k, fire station demos, kids games, swearing in new citizens, crafts fair, honoring veterans, etc. It's really small town 4th of July at its best.

    The large city fireworks displays are phenomenal, I agree.
  9. Wow, that is how it is done, why the blazes we cannot have something that stunning in the UK is beyond me!! Thats why I would love to live in the USA!!!
