in toronto canada, the fakes are openly sold in malls. The fakes are much better quality than the ones in the US. It's not hush-hush. All the fake merchandise is openly out there in boutiques. You really have to look and feel the bags to realize it is a fake. Of course, the quality is not even close to the real thing but they do a pretty good job. I didn't even want to look too much in those stores when I visited because I don't carry fakes and didn't want anyone to think that my bag was a fake.
