Please help. I need your input. So this morning I unveiled my very first Birkin in togo Etoupe.

But now I'm noticing these vertical lines throughout the leather and I don't know if that's characteristic of togo.....or if its a flaw. On the front, you'll notice it more on the bottom right.

that is veining. It is normal for togo. some togo skins have more than others. It is absolutely normal for your togo to have those veins. gorgeous etoupe by the way.

Yes, and actually many people specifically ask for togo with more veining if possible. The veining gives character to the bag, IMO, makes it look less like it was merely 'embossed'.

whew. I'm glad to hear. I'm realllly relieved. Thank you so much for your input.

My sweet DH was also genuinely concerned when I pointed it out to him. He's so cute. He asked if I got an escort to my car when I purchased my Birkin.

Togo can come with either veins or no veins. My etoupe has none, but my chocolat birkin had quite a few. I think they are both lovely, but the veining definitely adds a bit more depth to the bag. Yours is just beautiful. Congratulations on such a gorgeous bag.
