I'm considering a mini trip (only about 3-4 days) to visit Montreal.
Any highlights that shouldn't be missed ?
Thanks in advance !!

If you want to go out at night, check out Rue St-Denis..there are a ton of bars and places to hang out there! Also the Basilica's in Old Montreal were very impressive if you're into that type of thing. Make sure you go to Rueben's for a smoked meat sandwich! Out of all the places I've tried, they had the best one and it's HUGE! I went there 3 separate times over a 5 day time period last summer. For cheap and good food/drinks check out Peele Pub's happy hours (or even not happy hours). It's a cool little bar/restaurant. Also if you like to gamble, there is a casino there with free shuttles. I went to the Biodome which was pretty cool and also (I forgot the name of it) right beside the Biodome there's a tower sort of thing that you can go up and see all of Montreal. And of course, the shopping there is very nice! Have fun!

Thank you !!
I hope these are all walking distance, like within 2-3 miles ??
Or would I need to rent a car?
Also, there is a fabulous little cafe called Juliette et Chocolat. It's on the corner of St Denis and Maisonneuve. It's basically a chocolate menu, with some savory crepes and salads thrown in for people who can't handle it! Schwartz's on St. Laurent is the most famous for smoked meat. If you're planning to do some shopping, there are several malls connected underground. For designer goods, there is Holt Renfrew and Ogilvy on de la Montagne, but the prices are sort of ridiculous compared to the States. All of this is within walking distance. Then you can either walk or take the metro to get to Old Montreal which is beautiful. The Biodome isn't bad, and it doesn't take very long to do either. Let me know if you have any other questions!
