Per the title, I just received my Damier Ebene Speedy from Elux. It arrived in perfect condition (tho I was suspect because the lock was on and no plastic - on my Azur this was not the case. Suffice to say, I gave it the triple over and it looks, feels and smells new and not a scratch or speck of anything on it so it either is or its new enough for my purposes)
In any event. On first glance, something about the zipper seemed different than my Azur so my first thought was that something was wrong with the ebene.
On second glance, however, it appears that my Azur is the one with the problem. The zipper, when closed, appears to have been sewn in too close to the edge so that it will not close entirely - at least not close as well as my Ebene. Pictures attached.
So my question is: What do I do??? I bought the Azur back in February, Ive only recently started carrying it but have used it to the point where I would not be able to return it. It this truly a defect? (I imagine so if one speedy doesnt look like the other... and now its really bothering me) Do I send it to elux for repair or do I bring it into a boutique? or??? I would really feel nitpicky bringing it in as I already have the boutique repairing the little gusset tab on my mini pochette which is ever so slightly starting to split (the SA was very , very nice but chuckled about how picky I was - granted she understood as it will be a year old next month and once those things really start splitting.... yeah)
I cant believe I didnt notice this before. Im generally one of the retentive ones.
