Can you please authenticate this Kate Spade??

I am brand new to designer bags but found numerous Kate Spade websites about how to spot fakes, etc. I did not see anything on this bag that says fake except there is no made in tag but it also said there wasnt always made in tags. I also cant find this bag anywhere online, I tried searching for hours, Google, Ebay, Kate Spade, I am giving up and seeing if any of you can help me. I found one similar to it but not exact is why I am worried its fake.

Ok I am starting to think its fake. The only one I can find similar to it has a brown leather straps, mine are black nylon. The stitching is excellent but I am beginning to think its a fake, which wouldnt surprise me since I found it at a second hand shop.

I think I have to agree with you -- look at how the stitching is uneven on the Kate Spade patch, especially in the lower right hand corner.

First off, welcome to TPF!

Unfortunately, this looks fake to me. The notches in the label are off. You can see what it's supposed to look like here:

It looks like it's trying to be part of the buffalo plaid line, but it's not quite right. You can see the authentic ones here:

If you're looking to buy Kate Spade, the lady who maintains the ihatecounterfeitbags.info does a great job with it. I always head there first if I'm looking to buy from anywhere other than a Kate Spade store. I hope this helps!

Yeah, I took one look at the "a" in spade and thought it looked off! Welcome to tPF!

I always look at the label first and this one is way off. I am afraid it is fake. Did you know to look in the pocket? Many real bags have a tiny flag or black numbered label in there. Better luck next time!
