I have three vintage handbags. My favorite is the Gucci which I purchased on Ebay (authentic). The dark brown is a Milch handbag that I found in a thrift store. It's really nice with soft leather. The other is an Etra which I also found at a thrift store. I had several other ones that I would find while "junking" (thats what my Aunt calls it when you go thrift store shopping). I was collecting so many that I gave a few away :Push: Just want to see if anyone else collects vintage pieces as well as the new, trendy models.

Well, it's not any famous name, but it's so old that I consider it vintage. My mother recently gave me a bag handmade out of cobra skin and leather from India. She was also telling me that it was made by her great uncle who used to...get this...own a handbag shop!! I guess my purse obsession is genetic! Hee hee! It's been owned by my grandmother, my mother and now me. So who knows if it's even worth anything, but it means a lot to me!

I love vintage bags...and have quite a few!! Like Ariun...I have two magazine clutches...and two more that belonged to my Mother....if she ever unearthes them!! I have a crocodile bag...a needlepoint bag...a red croco evening bag...and a gorgeous tooled leather clutch (carried this one last night). There may be others.....but those pop to mind immediately!

I have a great big, kelly style navy blue ostrich skin bag, a snakeskin shoulderbag that just bears an Italian mark (no maker) and a few older Coach bags. I love them all but never have used them. When I consider selling them I can think of a hundred reasons not to and just put them back on their shelves. :sad:Poor things are lonely!

I had a 20+ year old LV Speedy until very recently. I sold it on ebay and it went for almost $300!

I also sold an old Dooney I had for about 20 years as well. It was kinda sad selling them, I forgot I had them until I unpacked a box that was still packed from a move I did over 10 years ago.

My LV speedy is vintage, as are my Gucci bag, makeup case and clutch. And I'm not sure if my fawn Epi St Cloud is considered vintage. I love vintage bags! My mom has a 70's magazine clutch too! I've always loved it.

I own many LuxuryVintage.com bags. Hermes Kelly black box paladium hardware 32 cm purchased from them three years ago, and a indigo 35cm Birken purchased from them four years ago. Sometimes they have really nice items. Their stock is low right now, but I always make a habit of checking them out.
