Hi,

I posted this here because I think it's the most relevant board. I'm doing a case study on UGG boots for my Fashion course and I need some 'public opinion/feedback'.

If you could answer this questionnaire for me, I'd be very grateful.


1. Do you own a pair of UGG boots?

2.Why not?

I don’t like them, they’re ugly/unfashionable

They’re not suitable for weather where I live /occasions I am usually in

Short cornflower (blue), tall metallic, tall black
4.Why did you buy that/those particular style/styles?
The first two in my list are different from the usual ones I see on *everyone* and just wanted one in black bc they're so comfy! (black matches everything)
5. What seasons do you most wear your UGG’s in?
Just winters, or if I'm cold and going to the grocery store (or somewhere it doesn't really matter what I look like at odd hours of the night) any time of year.
6. What occasions do you usually wear your UGG’s?
Round the house
The mall
To run errands
 Other (college..walking to class in the cold is not fun but with these they're the most comfy part of my body:heart:)
7. Do you think UGG boots can be worn all year round?
Yes if the climate allows although I personally wouldn't so No
8. Why not?
-The material they are made of is not suitable (too hot for summers, not good in rain, why where Uggs in the spring/summer when you can where all your other gorgeous shoes!)
-They don’t look good all year
10. What is the best feature about UGG boots?
They’re comfortable

Lol I had too much time..that was fun! Hope it helps..wish I had such assignments for my classes. May I ask which class?

2. I think they're hideous. Also, they're too trendy. I probably would have bought some if I hadn't seen a pair on every single female on campus. I try to avoid "in" things because they are inevitably "out" someday.

i didn't want to get the tall beige that everyone else has and got the short brown ones a year after i got my pink ones coz they go with more outfits and are very comfy

I hate them unless you are under 10 years old. Their name says it all. I feel the same about Crocs. If I never see another pair in my life, I would be happy.

BLACK CLASSIC SHORT, RUBY CLASSIC SHORT, TASMAN SLIPPERS IN SAND

I'm originally from Australia and honestly I find it comical the way UGGS have become fashionable in the states. Traditionally back home they were alway associated as trashy and cheap and usually worn by people from the lower socio-economic demographic. They were also never worn as an outdoor boot.
To see celebrities wear them makes me literally laugh out loud!
And what they charge for them over here is insanity!

YES.

I have the ultra tall in black and sand.

Well I really wanted the regular tall ones, but they were out :sad:, so I had to get the ULTRA tall, which has kinda a little heel thing on it.

Winter.

ALL THE TIME! i wear jeans 247 during the winter, and uggs are basically all i wear with them!

No.

Because they are big furry boots. IMO, that is for WINTER wear. plus its wayyy to hot for them anytime else.

they suit the weather where I live, i think they look cute, and they keep me warm!

It's Textiles A Level (I live in the UK). We all had to choose a product to study in depth and we have until September to finish it. This questionnaire is probably the funnest part right now as for other areas of the study I have had to discuss a variety of the styles and why I like/dislike them, how the materials contribute to the properties of the shoe and all the other technical stuff.


Thank you all for the help so far. For those of you who don't think UGG's are suitable all year round, do you have any suggestions for what the company could do to make this possible? I have to make recommendations for improvements of the product at the end of the study and I wonder how other people think UGG could get better for all year round wear.

4.Why did you buy that/those particular style/styles? The classic--such an easy style. Ultra tall because of the braid in the back.

5. What seasons do you most wear your UGG’s in? Almost all year, mostly fall/winter/spring.

6. What occasions do you usually wear your UGG’s?

The mall, to run errands, dogwalking, and hanging out--movies, casual dining, etc.

9. Why do you think this? I live in a milder climate where wearing Uggs is warrented.

Hitching on to this PP's wagon!

Everytime I see Ugg's I think of my dirty, wilted, wool dust mop. Also crocks look like they can make your feet smell.:rolleyes:
