The 2016 Hermes scarf Au Bout du Monde was based on a painting by contemporary artist Antoine Carbonne, which he based on an 1890 painting by Paul Sérusier, Fisherman on the Laita.

As far as I know, this is the only Hermes scarf by Antoine Carbonne. He is an active artist, and perhaps we can look forward to seeing more of his work in the future.

Here is an interesting 2019 painting by Antoine Carbonne called "soft speed". The following is from the artist's website.

View attachment 5072646

Its title “soft speed” is an injunction to see this land- scape in a certain way, and in a definite way.
Not at a Thalys or a plane speed, which penetrates areas, but at ground level, with winds in the mouth. Nevertheless, it is not naturalism; on a motorcycle or a bicycle, (as a Corot’s painting) we really smell the odor of wet leaves.
In a vegetal, stony and fantastic world, a character in quest of adrenaline seems to travel his dream. Looking for an immediate pleasure he enjoys his adventure and takes root in a timeless world.
Beautiful scarf and such an interesting post! I can see why you would love this-- the whole mood seems to suit you to a tee.
This is such a great scarf. I love how fluffy you've made the friendship knot - the proportions with the short tails are great!
Thank you, @PangurBan-- I used Mai Tai's Camellia Knot for this. It is super easy and slightly different than the Friendship Knot and I too like the fluffier outcome with shorter tails.
Today with the Châle Damier, released in the Year of India. The designer is anonymous; probably because the design is based on classical Indian paisley motifs.

That is wonderful with that bolduc ribbon slyly peeking out! Wonderful colors for you-- a combination of pink and taupe-y brown that is totally winning in my book.
Oh yes, Bette Davis was amazing in both "The Little Foxes" and "Jezebel"! Speaking of "women's movies" by William Wyler, have you ever watched "The Heiress" with Olivia de Havilland? Her character is fascinating and she rightfully won an Oscar for her performance.
A great design and great pattern mixing!
Thank you for the compliment @Thelittlefoxes and for reminding me of the great Olivia de Havilland!
amazing intro and you pretty much covered all my potential contributions this week so I don’t even have to think too long and hard

had the same issue, seems like something was off with the site. she’s glorious! I also managed to order this via customer service today (as an exchange for one of my returns), can’t wait to see in real life!!
I think you will be very happy with cw08 of Faubourg Tropical. This was the first scarf I ordered in two cws at the same time and kept both. The grey is much quieter and serene but the green is also lovely. I am very happy with both. I also can see cw08 as a year round scarf highlighting the grey side. Please be sure and model it when it comes! I have loved seeing it on Croisette and others here.
Felipe Jardim designed modernism tropicale, and Sea surf and fun. IDK if there are other H designs by him. Wearing Modernism today, View attachment 5073250and here is Sea and surf from the archives. I LOVE them both! View attachment 5073264View attachment 5073265
This is wonderful on you-- both looks are great. I love your ties and Sea and Surf with the moto jacket is perfection!
"Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches" is often described as the first H carre design, and is also one of the few scarves designed by Robert Dumas. A specimen of that first scarf was displayed at an exhibition at the Singapore H flagship a few years ago, complete with an interactive app showing how the game was played.
View attachment 5073253

The design has been re-invented several times. I have it in a 70cm in 2 cws.
View attachment 5073251

Robert Dumas' daughter-in-law Rena Dumas designed the interiors of the H boutiques. She also designed at least one scarf: Les Bolides, while another, Belle Epoque, is sometimes also attributed to her.

Beautiful! And to see Bolides and Belle Epoque flat so as to admire the design is a treat...(looks wonderful on you, too!)
So inspiring, beautiful and...the colors all together
Thank you, @irmapusen!
I had to take the car to the shop to get the tires changed today, felt like a totally exciting excursion to get out of the house in real clothes :panic:
With my acte III by the very talented Edouard Baribeaud, may he make many more scarves for Hermès!View attachment 5073335View attachment 5073336
You look just darling for your outing. I love your Acte III!
I think maybe Ardmore Artists just make the cut for this week (for sure if "twillies don't count" )

But let's see they did Savana Dance, Flowers of South Africa, Marche du Zambeze, Baobab Cat and the Tree of Song twilly. Did I get them all?

Here's Baobab from last week:

View attachment 5073397

And this week with Marche du Zambeze (plus pattern on pattern on pattern...and double denim! I should get an award for all that in one outfit...)

Another mystery scarf with Filigrane. It could have been a one off designer, or maybe not, or maybe even one of the random one off no designer prints H sometimes does for the men's collections. It feels like it ought to have an artist name attached, but I have not made any headway on this in several years of searching. (And hello to all my scarf ring twins out there! )

Your 'Mystery Scarf" is beautiful and your parade of Ardmore Artist scarves is gorgeous and beautifully tied and modeled. My collection is missing Flowers of South Africa but one day...
Scarf mail! Tabriz mousseline stole Artist is Catherine Bsachet - she designed more than 5 scarves, but I think this is the first one of her designs in my collection.View attachment 5073434View attachment 5073435
Breathtaking colors and just beautiful on you! Congratulations. My wallet cowers under the bed every time y'all post these beautiful mousselines...
A prolific artist, but my only one by Jean de Fougerolles, The Royal Mews. I HAD to have this because of the subject matter. I love it! But I don’t reach for it much, I think because of light color and also because I love the center and struggle to highlight it. So I am purposefully going through my least reached for scarves and wearing them to see if I will keep or re-home. My shirt has a baby blue undertone in the animal print so I went for it hahaView attachment 5073441
I love this pairing, @Nomad! The baby blue and animal are just perfect together. And with your lovely hair!
Bright and beautiful, @Pirula!
Lovely! I sometimes spend a week wearing neglected scarves to see if I would miss them if I let them go. Hope you can sort it out and pay no attention to us, LOL!
I do that, too-- not to see if I will keep them (not there yet as a collector/wearer of my scarves) but just to play with different knots and outfits etc. Surprises ensue from time to time. Scarves I thought of as dressy turn out to love a casual spin and vice versa...the thread is inspiring that way, too...
something different from me today. Zoé Pauwels definitely made more than 5 scarves, but this is the only Zoé x blydia collab
L'ivresse (the purple/yellow one) with a coral/orange tint, diy-ed in my kitchen.

I am sisters with you on this beauty and twins in that it is the only ZoexLKBNOLA collaboration to date. I love it with your blue stripes and green skirt.

Octave Marsal has designed A L'Ombre des Pivoines, La Cite Cavaliere, Cavalcadour Voltigeur, Faubourg Tropical, and the men's scarf Des Chevaux Sous Le Capot. I have the first one.

Hermes Galaxy by Elias Kafouros. To my knowledge he's also done The Game, Silk Mix, Horsawards and Route 24?

And finally my beloved framed La Serpentine de Pierre Charpin, the only scarf by the designer.

This is an amazing array of scarves on you and framed! The first is stunning in the blue. I am your twin on Pivoines and I LOVE this cw of Toucans, a Katie Scott design I would love to add to my Index. I just love that Galaxy every time I have seen it and your framed La Serpentine is simply wonderful.

I recently posted my Acte III and my Amazones not long ago, and @bunnycat did an amazing job with Ardmore and so many beautiful Octave Marsal's have been modeled also. Here is Kawa Ora, which I believe fits the theme. It is dreary and rainy on the Cape today so my scarf is definitely brightening up the day! Tried @Yoon daily scarf's "French Scout Knot" for a change. The first shot is an older pic.

Beautiful collection and I’m curious - did you frame the scarf on your own? I’ve got a couple framed scarves but they came framed with no matting or glass

I really must try out more knots! You are such an inspiration!

Not entirely sure if I am on theme with Saw Keng, who is teetering on the border with four that I can remember off the top of my head....0504210846c.jpg
ETA: I have to admit this is one of those scarves that brings out my OCD tendencies. I own two colorways, and I love them both so much that it makes me want to buy every single version, although I know I have the ones that suit me best already. Aptly titled J'aime mon Carre.
