First Evelyne

Hi all! Want to purchase my first Evelyne bag in the near future. Orange has been my favorite color since I was a child and is so classic Hermès, so I was planning to buy that color. I think the bag looks so gorgeous in orange. However, given the fact orange is a lighter color and I would consider this bag for more casual use, I’m concerned about color transfer from jeans etc. On the other hand, I think a darker color may not be as pretty. What are your thoughts!? Any recommendations on leather type also appreciated!!

If Orange makes your heart pitter patter, I wouldn’t settle for another color. Orange is such a classic and gives off warm happy vibes, totally on my wish list.
Evelyne’s are made from either Epsom or Clemence leathers and are both pretty hard wearing. Haven’t had any issues with color transfer although I do colorfast any of my denim.

Hi there. I have an orange B in Clemence. I don’t think of it as a lighter color like Beton or Craie, but just more rich and warm as @psoucsd mentioned. I also wear jeans a lot and have had no issues with color transfer. I think Clemence is very durable/hard wearing as well (especially from experience ). I’ve seen Feu but not Orange Evelynes, so if you find one, I think it would be a great bag!

I have orange bags in Clemence, Epsom and Novillo, never had an issue with colour transfer, orange is gorgeous

Hi there! No I have not. Maybe it will be this summer. With the pandemic, I have not been a very motivated shopper! It’s still on my list for sure.
Additional question - what do we think about carrying an orange bag in the winter? Too summer? I was thinking no as it’s classic Hermès.

I think orange is an all year round colour for a bag and looks amazing worn with wintery greys, Navy, Black, Brown and tweeds.

I carry my orange bags regardless of the season, they look gorgeous in winter with beige coats.

I have an etoupe one in taurillon Clemence leather and never had any problem with color transfer. I would love to get another one in orange!

Totally agree with this. It's a classic color that can be worn all year.

Hi i think the Hermès orange is gorgeous in each season. If you are wearing neutral colors like beige, black, white or grey it can add a pop of color to your outfit. But i am not a specialist in outfit neither.
