Last night someone joined the forum and posted 7 posts within about 4 mins. They were LONG and scrambled but were offering counterfeit money, porn, false documents (passports, death certificates, drivers' licenses, divorce papers). The first one had no message at all, it just listed every country in the world. I reported it and Vlad removed him within an hour. I should not have used the word "hacked" because they implies that someone has access to some of our info. I am sorry, my mistake!!!! I meant to say "spammed." I know the difference but it was later at night and I apparently was tired.More details?
How is that different from just the general spam we see? Do we know if it was an actual hack and any info was compromised?Last night someone joined the forum and posted 7 posts within about 4 mins. Just explained by editting the post. You are absolutely correct. How is that different from just the general spam we see? Do we know if it was an actual hack and any info was compromised?
Thanks for the update! I often wonder what the point of those types of posts is .Just explained by editting the post. You are absolutely correct.
I don't think there is much thought in them. Thanks for the update! I often wonder what the point of those types of posts is .
I am sure you do. These were just so egregious, lol.We get LOTS of spam, luckily the parameters Vlad has set and the quickness of our team you don't have to see too much! Best to just report it so we can get it in our inboxes quickly!
Yes, that was an inadvertent use of the wrong word. I meant to say spammed, not hacked. The only reason I mentioned it was because it was so egregious. He joined and within 4 mins, had sent 7 posts that were pages and pages long, lol. There are bots that do this across any forum that is open to new posters. But it's not a hack.
