I am about to purchase a black deuaville tote and have the choice between 20P striped vs 20A plain both with light gold hardware.

Which one do you prefer ?

I think the plain one because it's a bit more classic and won't date as much, although they are very similar. either is a good choice but I like the plain. Gorgeous bag, good choice! x

Doesn’t that depend on the size and whether the bag is stuffed or not.. I think even the new one has the sides stick out if not fully stuffed.

Yes, I think I prefer plain too. I generally prefer everything “basic”. Waiting for my boutique to get it!

So happy with it. It’s my first Deauville and my husband originally bought me the cream and pearl one but I returned it bc it’s too high maintenance. I wanted a dark plain one bc I’m not into flashy bags. Here are 3 pics. First in the store then in my car and then on me.
