2nd Rolex- opinions and help please?

hi all, I need help getting a second sportier Rolex! I currently have a small black and gold cartier tank and a 31mm steel and yellow Rolex with a silver face and gold Roman numerals.

I would love a 36 mm datejust in all steel to round out my collection, with an oyster bracelet and probably a fluted Bezel.

I was thinking a black or blue face for a sportier look BUT—-

I normally never wear purple unless it’s like a burgundy or an eggplant, but I randomly tried on the purple face Rolex in 36 mm with steel oyster bracelet, fluted bezel and Roman numerals and I Loved it!!!!!! Thoughts?? Uploading pics of the purple and of my current two watches!

I love that purple dial but I also love the bi metal jubilee date just, you can’t go wrong with either one.

the purple is pretty and you have other watches so it's not like it has to go with everything so I say go for it

Just wanting a more sporty larger datejust in all steel.

Do you think the purple dial can go with a lot of looks (vs a blue)? I think the purple is still kind of go with everything ...esp on the weekends when I wear a lot of athleisure. , vs work where I work in a conservative more formal industry?

So my thoughts are as follows:

I personally think that you will miss a black/steel combo, it is sporty and goes with everything and compliments your existing collection well. I like the purple, but it would personally not work with my wardrobe very well and I would find myself reaching for something more neutral.

However, you seem like you really love the purple and honestly only you can answer whether it will work well with your wardrobe! You could also try and find a black/steel watch that you like and compare the two to really visualise which would work better with your style.

I think blue would go with more....and I might worry about getting tired of the purple. But as I said earlier you have other watches so this doesn't have to go with everything. Bottom line - your decision.
I got a Rolex with a pink (salmon)dial. I'm not really sorry but I find it harder to read than I would have expected. Don't know if that's a factor with any of your options

Great points Magpie and sdkitty. I ended up trying on a 34 mm Date with diamond and Arabic markers and love how it looks. A bit more of an every day look and don’t think I’ll tire of it. Also the 34 mm looks better on my wrist and the 36 mm with the purple was a bit in your face for my style! so am pretty sure at going to go with that...pics attached. Thanks all!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Absolutely. Wore it out to a chill neighborhood pizza joint tonight with my black leggings and black tee and nikes and loved it! Thanks so much for the help.

Yes I love it! I also think it looks better on your wrist than the purple (more balanced). Happy to hear that you’re already using it

I like the black - very chic and timeless. I agree that it will go with lots of outfits. Good luck with your decision!
