Help - moisturize or dye nubuck?

Hi, I recently purchased a slightly dirty Rebecca Minkoff Nubuck Love Bag and my attempt at cleaning it may have ruined it. Would moisturizing restore the color? I've searched this forum extensively and read that Leather Honey or mink oil spray can be used on nubuck, but I'm worried they will make things worse! I'm also considering dying it, but I'm worried that will turn out streaky and terrible. Has anyone tried either of these approaches? Any help is MUCH appreciated!

What did you clean it with? Give it a few days and see if the darkened areas lighten up.
I used 2 rounds of Angelus Easy Cleaner with a suede brush - the second time I really scrubbed it because I wanted to get rid of the water marks that the cleaner left. I think maybe I scrubbed the color off or damaged the nubuck. It's been over a week, so I think it's dry, unfortunately.

OK so at this point I would try some Tarrago shoe cream. Wait is it smooth or more suede like?
