I feel your pain. I am waiting for the 70 to come on the site and they have been slow to show up. Patience is not my strengthYes, I saw the price bumps, too. I'm disappointed that I've only seen one CW of L'ombre des Pivoines on the US site. It's my favorite design of the season, but I'm not interested in the bleu lac (gorgeous, but not right for me). Hopefully more options will become available soon. I don't live near a boutique and it's frustrating to have such a limited scope for certain designs online.
For reference...red Equateur...(how cute is that sloth???)

I know. I'm glad to meet a kindred spirit! I think it's tough to translate the luminosity of the traditional silk gazaar piecing into cashmere. I'm really hoping for a release of this pattern in silk. A mousseline would be glorious. And a 90 would be to die for. I'll just sit patiently and wait for my lovely SA to come through, as she always has.Hah! Wasn't my intention at all. It doesn't seem to be as popular as other CSGMs from this season so I was excited that someone else was too. I know Boston had a bunch at the end of January if that's an option.
So cute! And that red is beautiful! For reference...red Equateur...(how cute is that sloth???)
I don’t understand why the Wash scarves are more expensive in the first place. I did give a try for one of the equators because I so loved the print. But - in my opinion it looked ‘pre-loved’ . Color somewhat muted, hem rumpled, and already some wrinkles although brand new in box. Loved the feel - but I couldn’t pull it off in the end. The disproportionate price increase makes no sense to me, and I’m sure Wash fans do not appreciate it AT ALL!
All look gorgeous on you! Thanks for sharing!Hi my dear scarfies, I thought I’d stop by to showcase my selection of the SS19 season. I have to say these two scarves are my most versatile yet. I didn’t think I was gonna get animapolis, but seeing it in person - it’s so whimsical and cute! and the dallet is just so timeless... (and that little critter in the corner is so much fun (what is it??)) here some modeling pics...

Just noticed that some of the new losange mousselines are on the euro site.
Just read this and thank you, Pegase. Because I was going to say in a separate thread....I wash my silks all the time and they too get a nice drapey hand which I love. I'm not a big fan of the starched scarves so when I buy one and take it home the first thing I do is wash it. Comes out great! And drapes beautifully. So, I'm not in a big rush to buy these new "carre wash" scarves for the extra money unless there's a real reason for it.No one appreciates a price increase dear, no matter in which category!
It takes more technical steps to produce a carree wash, for this, different machines are needed as well as more production time and (more)technicians who do/supervise the extra process. Take all of this factors and multiply them with the ubiquitous H-factor (normal cost X a LOT more) And there you have it!
I had a nice chat during an “Festival des Metiers” exhibition a few years back with the H specialist, we talked about Dip Dyes and how they were maid, I don’t know if you remember those, they costed the same as normal Carrees, he said it’s a mystery to him how they were being sold for the same price since the process of making them is much more elaborate... (I am pretty sure both, dip dye and care wash go through the same washing process that makes the silk “velvety” to the touch)...
silky hugs
