I’ve started collecting Chanel Camellias recently and I’ve started researching ( I use this term very loosely) about the special Christmas Camellias over the years. However I am unable to find out much about holiday Camellias pre-2009. I started this thread so that members can share their Camellias and hopefully enlighten me about the earlier Camellias! Let me start the ball rolling with a Camellia from Chanel Beauty Christmas 2018.

Very interesting indeed - I dont own many camelias but just discovered by pure coincidence that they differ I received chanel bags with camelia and chanel catalogues back in the days when I couldnt afford theirproducts and just went in to get more information on how much Id have to save haha. SomeSAs were nice and gave me advertisement material and a bag. Just a week ago I realise this may have been a christmasy/holiday one: one bag, from 2014, has a grey, black and gold speckled camelia as well as the standard white one on it. I also wonder what the standard camelia looked lie years ago and when they started making them? My medium flap which I am waiting to have authenticated came with two camelias that look diff. from the current onces, they should be from 2004.. (pic in my post in the authentication thread).

Thanks for sharing! Going into Chanel and gifted a Camellia without having to buy anything sounds really nice! Customer service goals! I think I know what you mean by gold and black speckled and I think it’s from 2013 Christmas. I’ll put a picture with this comment. Picture credit from TPF by the way.

I hoped onto your authentication post and wow that Camellia from 2004 is so unique. I think I’ve seen it somewhere before but it looks so different compared to the current ones!

Regarding my 2004 ones: i can just hope its all real if so, the camelias were different, yes... i wonder when they first started making them and using them as wrapping decor?

Yayy my bag is the real thing - just got the confirmation on here too. Therefore, although this is not a holiday one, I would like to present this 2004 camelia and ribbon - ribbon has a raised velvet font

That would be great! I’m very interested to see. I have no idea when they started special Camellias for Christmas either, but I reckon some of the more established TPF members would have some idea.

Wow this is so unique!! It would be so hard to get these now! And how did the previous seller keep the Camellias in such good condition? It’s absolutely white!

I can say that around 2012 they gave out a pure black glitter camellia for Christmas.

I actually bought 3 items that day. But I think they had very limited numbers of these flowers.

Aaah that’s what’s getting me so confused. In 2013 I saw pictures of black and gold glitter Camellias but for 2011 again I see the same black glitter. Chanel recycles Camellias for the holiday season? Below are pics scoured from TPF and a blogspot by Claire Kirsten.
