she is, isn't she. oh yes, please do!

thank you! ha, yeah, denim and grey is the vast majority (because it hides the cat hair lol). This is Awooooo (5 o's) from the men's collection, it's a 100cm format in cashmere/silk. it's my second Alice Shirley design (besides under the waves). Some of the other things she did I had to skip because I have a butterfly phobia and she loves butterflies in her designs

Oh, OK, I suspected that but was not positive. I echo the sentiment that you should be hired as the Hermes model!

here is my second purchase for this season. I really wanted a cashmere scarf for my leisure capsule (yes. I am OCD enough to have two different scarf collections, a bigger one for business and a N=3 one for free time). I love how well it pairs with denim (which is what I live in on free time).
and the stars...
Marine/azur/ciel, I believe cw01

What is the name of this scarf.?

I went to my boutique yesterday for my annual purchase of a new CSGM for my Christmas present. Since I try very hard to keep it tucked away until Christmas day, I decided to get a 90cm for some instant gratification LOL! Now I am second guessing my choice. Would love some opinions on this one...a radical departure for me to incorporate this caramel color. I love the retro feel of this design, and am having trouble finding a CW that I am 100% happy with. Huge thank you to @blydia for telling me how to set up my photos this way!! :hugs:And many thanks in advance for your advice dear silky friends!!

This looks great. Fabulous design when tied.

How gorgeous, Croisette!
Greetings, Everyone, brand new to TPF. I am mostly here to view and occasionally discuss the fabulous textile phenomenon known as Hermes silk scarves. I have enjoyed many beautiful posts and pics here, and find your community friendly, fun, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable.
I am fairly new to Hermes scarves. My interest launched upon a purchase of a gorgeous Ferragamo 90 on eBay. I now own two H 90s - Paperoles in a breathtaking gold cw with hints of forest and lilac - this scarf shimmers elegance. My other is Les Secrets de Minos in navy and cornflower and sagey-green accents, which is great for work and casual with jeans. I also own four twillies, which I wear like jewelry. All purchased on eBay. Soooo, guess what is on the Fedex Truck right now due to deliver on Monday? Act III in CW05. I can’t wait! I purchased it from Hermes online yesterday. I do wish I had more choices - I adore your CW12, Croisette, but I’m sure I will love CW05, too.
Does Hermes restock their season’s offerings fairly regularly? I would love to compare CWs, but I don’t live near a store.
Thank you.
Welcome to our scarfie community!

Thank you all for your welcoming replies and likes. Saranga, thank you for these fabulous photos! I will receive cw 05 tomorrow! Ordered it at 1:45pm from Hermes.com on Friday - great service, yes? It was on the Fedex truck at 4:30 am yesterday! Since I couldn’t view these in person, I’m glad I chose cw05 instead of cw06, which was what was available, except for the monochromatic pastels cws. I do love cw06, as well as cw12 and 07, but12 hasn’t been on the website in weeks. I am visiting NYC early Nov, so I may call Madison Ave to see what cw’s they have, to compare and exchange, if need be. I feel somewhat intimidated to visit, though. What is it like to visit an Hermes store, anyone? Any input is greatly appreciated . OTH, I should be happy with my cw05 - it’s gorgeous and a good color for me. Either way, I’m blessed!
For everyone’s information, I chose my handle in honor of the great couturier and costume designer, Barbara Karinska, who worked with George Balanchine and designed tutus and costumes for the New York City Ballet.
And reading through some of this thread on Act III, another great MSND’s production is NYC Ballet’s. Enchanting is an understatement. Pure Balanchine genius. So of course, I had to have this Hermes gem. Who has seen it?

I also had my eyes set on this one, when my store received one, I tried it on and did not wanted to take it of!
On the plus side: it’s gorgeous! And it has just enough weight that it feels luxurious on your shoulders and warm and cozy and just divine! Also, I really love the color combo.
On the minus side: It’s rather stiff, so there are not many different ways of wearing it.... witch wouldn’t be so bad... but the biggest problem was the price tag... it costs about two GMs....

@WilliamLion I had the pleasure of trying this on in store two weeks ago. It is shaped like a lozange, but much much bigger. I really liked the weight and the colors and design (I am usually drawn to the simple and abstract designs). The only downside is the hefty price tag. I believe it was around 1700 Euros? So spot on on the "you can buy two CSGMs for that" comment. Too much for me unfortunately, too bad, it is so beautiful and luxurious!!!! My favorite part - the bias binding is made of suede! It is so so extremely well made and sophisticated, but I-just-can't-justify-the-price-tag....

Thank you both on the kind input which makes me more eager to see this losange in person, but I may not be able to justify the price tag also... 1700 euro will make it into around 2300 usd I guess...

So I just flipped through the little F/W 18 scarf booklet (I know, but I don’t check mail that often plus I didn’t think I needed another scarf... ). And OMG, So many things I like! Off to check this whole thread.

Edit: on second thoughts, maybe I shouldn’t, just learnt that the camel hair Losange is almost 2000 eur?! :amazed:
