Hi! Does anyone have any experience with this? Any recommended clinics/doctors? Since I'm creating a post as well, has anyone done tipplasty recently? Without touching the nose bridge. Thanks all!

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking in these PS forums and finally signed up to revive the subject of a previous thread here that went unanswered, and is probably a more common problem than most people would admit to:

:yucky: * Flabby armpits * :yucky:

I also have this problem of "flabby armpits" for years since puberty, and I want to do something to fix it in Seoul, because I have read that arm/pectoral exercises will not totally reduce it. And in my case, I think it requires more than just arm liposuction, because I believe it is actually excess breast tissue that needs to be removed by surgical excision, because the "flab" feels more sensitive and sore every month around my period.

This is my search so far on plastic surgery clinics in Seoul who explicitly offer both accessory breast tissue removal + arm liposuction:

--- Fresh - they had a promo video of a white lady who had it done but no follow-up B&A results yet. Fresh quoted me: "4 million KRW + tax. The arm liposuction would be 3 million KRW + tax. If you were to pay by cash we can make it 7 M in total."

--- 365mc -
-Whole Arm(+front, back armpit + breast accessory) (under 29.9cm): 5,500,000KRW

--- Hershe - there was a blog by Jane Chuck who seemed to have the accessory breast removal only, without arm liposuction, and it costed her "RM3000+", so check out her blog here: http://www.janechuck.co/2017/10/my-surgery-story.html#.WnL75q6WbIU

--- Regen - i have not asked yet, but I assume it may be quite expensive, by looking at price quotes of their other surgeries
--- Bong Bong - awaiting reply
--- Cinderella - awaiting reply

Can anyone else here offer their experience of arm liposuction at least? And would they recommend the clinic they went to, based on the staff care before, during and after surgery?

You would want to go to a clinic that specializes in Breast surgery, not the ones that do Lipo. You also want a Breast Specialist to perform this for you as they are the ones with a good understanding of breast anatomy. Clinics like fresh and 365mc do good marketing but they are not Breast Specialists.

Accessory breast tissue removal is just a simple liposuction procedure unless it is diagnosed as something which can’t be removed by lipo. With a thorough examination docs would find out if it can be suctioned or not. The possibility it cannot be suctioned would be around 1/10000.
So don’t worry, liposuction specialized clinics are okay choice.

Accessory breast tissue removal is OFTEN a combination of breast tissue which extends into the axilla, part of it can be fat too but not all. Hence you do not go to a lipo clinic. In Korea, many lipo only clinics are run by GP surgeons. You would definitely want a breast specialist to assess your situation to determine how much of it is skin, fat or breast tissue as a simple liposuction may not yield the results you want. Problem is when you go to someone who mainly does lipo, they may say "oh yeah we can just suck it out as much as possible" when what you require is manipulation and/or removal of certain tissues via excision or even a partial tissue lift. Its basically a common situation for many people who for example, want to get rid of that double chin assuming its just fat so they just go to a lipo clinic to suck it out. However they only later realize lipo doesn't truly correct the problem because they should have gone to an anti aging/facelift specialist as its really a combination of loose tissue, whch should be corrected via a necklift. This realization happens to many people who don't know any better to begin with, and even my own staff. She flew to korea to get her double chin removed and didn't get the results she wanted because she just thought it was just a matter of lipo. It didnt occur to her that the cause was a different problem. I had a double chin until recently where I knew better than to go to a lipo clinic. Instead I went to a facelift specialist to correct the problem using the proper required method.

Always go to a breast specialist who understands breast anatomy, thats the most thorough route. Its your body after all, you should always go for the best option

K Couture, yeah you’re partially right.

I have axillary breast in both of my armpits. Had quite discomfort from early ages of 12 and admitted to hospital just because my axillary breasts were too painful. Sometimes it feels like I have tennis ball in my armpits. Have been making research for 12 years (after I discovered my armpit problem was not about lymph nodes) and never found anything that says axillary breast tissue removal surgery is that difficult and needs professional help from breast specialist unless it is accessory breast cancer.

Liposuction has been advanced a lot. Before docs needed to open up the whole armpit area so that they could cut the breast tissues but nowadays SIMPLE LIPO can do it with minimal cut unless exptreme contouring needs.

Almost every docs say complication of breast tissue lipo is close to 0.

I don’t f care if you guys get it removed by lipo or not, for me lipo is way more enough.

Well again, acessory breast tissue is most often a combination of breast tissue and fat. As it is concerning breast tissue its common sense to go to the best, aka, someone with a great understanding of breast anatomy, aka a breast surgeon. You don't only go to a breast surgeon if its cancer :S......Also, when the cause is breast tissue it CANNOT be sucked out via a simple lipo. It doesn't make any sense. Its like saying my face is saggy so I can suck out the tissue with lipo to tighten my face??? What? Even in cases of body contouring, my staff who did the assumed her double chin was a simple lipo when it wasnt, also had her arm lipo then. She had the flabby waddle, which is part tissue, part loose muscle part fat. Again her lipo didn't yield the results she wanted because she required an incision via the armpit and the tissue manipulated and lifted.

I'm glad your lipo worked out, but for everyone else the most thorough route for going about their surgery is going to a breast specialist who is able to cover ALL ground, not someone who merely does lipo. Also, very interesting is that in Korea, you will find that breast specialist perform liposuction too, some on a regular basis. Usually in clinics it is assigned to cases per specialist, that is many clinics the Breast specialist is also who they assign to perform liposuction. However the reverse doesn't work because a "lipo specialist" (there's actually no such thing in the medical discipline as a lipo specialist btw), is certainly not a Breast Specialist. Again, in Korea, many doctors who perform liposuction only at clinics are GP doctors with a liscense to do procedures which doesn't involve a lot of training such as fat graft and liposuction. When 2 doctors meet each other for the first time, if asked "what is your speciality" its downright embarrassing to say "Im a lipo specialist" because there's no such thing.

I would suggest lipo for everyone, yes everyone. It is more than enough for axillary breast removal. Every plastic surgeon would say the same.

For massive correction direct incision would do.

And it is one’s choice though.

The end.

The fact that you say you would suggest lipo for EVERYONE and that "EVERY plastic surgeon would say the same" as a definitive statement shows how illogical this conversation. It doesn't take into consideration that everyone has different conditions, that breast accessory removal is often a mixture of breast tissue + fat and that tissue cannot be sucked out via lipo. Nor does it take into consideration that different surgeons would have different rationales beyond layman context.

Arguing against logic is the same as arguing for the sake of arguing and that is why im done with this and will no longer respond to senseless debate. I trust ppl can make a sound decision by simply considering the logic. Thats all

Breast tissue is not fat. Only fat can be suctioned out. Breast tissue cannot. That is why lipo is not suitable for everyone, certainly not the majority of people. Older women especially cannot opt for merely lipo. And now I'm really done with this. Not arguing against false facts anymore

Do you think you know everything? Hahaha funny. Then go ahead and be a surgeon.
I have been browsing this forum for good 3 years and thought you were a decent advice giver, I guess I was wrong.
You have lots of knowledge about ps I agree, but I can tell you know nothing about breast tissue removal.
Your fact is sooo wrong, at least 80%. Who doesn’t know axillary breast consists of fatty tissue and breast tissue??? You only think yourself clever and others stupid??? Have never seen anyone so pushy about their opinion (when it is not even a fact) like you are in here.

Guess you need to read something, or at least search if breast tissues can be suctioned!!! Below is one of the many articles that discussed about the matter.

https://www.realself.com/question/l...on-and-recurrence-rate-axillary-breast-tissue

If you make a further search there are tons of research papers, patient testimonies, advices of docs that nowadays lipo is enought for breast tussue removal. Incisional method is used for massive tissue removal or extreme contouring cases.

Do not reply please!!! Coz your stupid posts make me puke.

Swanky mama of three or any other admin please ban me!!!

Oh btw K Couture you’re ignored.

Really couldn't care less if I'm ignored. I responded to your incorrect information because you are trying to spout rubbish to tell people to go choose to go to the doctor that does lipo over a breast specialist for an issue concerning the breast. I corrected this ridiculous notion and you continue to argue senselessly.

Also if you read your own link from realself you posted, it quite clearly states exactly what I said, that the breast accessory is often corrected via a combination of direct excision and lipo or one or the other. What this also means is that breast tissue cannot be liposuctioned out, fat tissue can but not breast tissue. If not why would they suggest excision? Additionally on the link you posted one surgeon clearly states that when lipo is used, the problem isn't adequately corrected. Scroll down in your own link. Are you not able to read lol? Shows what kind of research you have done because it clearly states that liposuction is not the solution in most cases. I'm not arguing with dumb anymore

Assuming your case is not a mere underarm liposuction, Im sure that quotes given by clinics were rough prices based on past cases and depending on your seriousness it may change on your actual consultation. Wouldn't it? I don't know how big or flabby yours are but you're indeed right that the excess breast tissue need precise diagnosis and treatment. At times, they call a different price with actual consultation. So if I were you, I would take a visit first!

Besides, Korea is a leading country in plastic surgeries and they hold that much of medical tech capacity and experience so I think you can expect good results. All the best J
