Scarves Just say 'no' to Brides de Gala - what reissues do we really want?

I maybe the exception here, but I really think the endless re-makes of anything (especially when re-done in large quantities) are not something I like to see.
I truly hope too that Tohu Bohu will not be redone any time soon, as at least there is still one holy grail that is not so accessible and people can dream of. I strongly believe some thinks should remain "wanted" and "longed for" to keep the thrill up.
Also- as was raised before w H skins (BLGs) H should rather focus on the quality. The cashmere scarves I bought in the past few years are so thin comparing to the older ones- the difference is significant. The old are thick, rich and almost fluffy (no better way to describe it) the new ones far away from that.
And not to hijack this thread- if I wanted to see one again it would be Kelly en Caléche.

Brides de Gala has such strength as a design IMO , therefore it flows and still looks modern when tied.
It can be messed with in an infinite number of ways and still comes out looking just fine.
Much as I love and buy the new designs and the decorative oldies like Turandot , my several B de G. are the most worn.

Better cws or more specifically speaking for myself, a neutral option WITHOUT an orange hem is preferred! I know you're asking about the older designs but just to illustrate a point, there are quite a few designs from this FW2017 collection that I like but the color palette does nothing for me, so I have to sit out and hope that next season's colors are better. But I'm on the same page with you on the mash ups or even the bloc overlay as seen on the Coup de Fouet (SS17) and Le Pegase (FW17) 140 silks this year. Please, just no to those. :blah:

I think I agree with both of you, if that's possible (though I do love a contrast hem in just about any color--this one is about to make me pass out today). My boring old black-and-gold BdG gets more compliments than nearly all the other scarves, and I just rediscovered my burgundy dip dye BdG as a power scarf, for its strong graphic abstract quality. And much as I want some of those older grails, I wouldn't want to diminish the specialness of any scarf with an identical reissue.

But new CWs are a different story: I have great faith in the H color folks to come up with new fun variations, and there are some designs I love (e.g., H Comme) that all looked godawful on me, and I hold out hope that someday something will come out that will work for me.

I intensely dislike the mashups too, though I have to admit that someone posted a modeling shot with a pale CW of what I think of as Pegase d'Wallpaper, and it did look fresh and nice on her.

Back to things I'd like to see: I agree that I can't see how something like CLF could be done better than or even as well as the original full-color CWs, but I want to see them try. I believe in you, H color specialists!

I am not good with the french names so maybe someone can help me out here but anything with hot air balloons. I have missed out in the past and now stalk the .com site at least weekly. Anything aviation I am in! But balloons + France = love!

Eta: I guess that would be the Les Folies du Ciel I am thinking of...see told ya my french is bad. LOL But anything with balloons or aviation. Twilly and maxi twilly sizes!!!

I want to bump this thread as press pics for SS 2019 indicates there'll be yet another reissue of Bride de Gala. :shrugs:  :blah:

Wanted to bump this thread too, but for a different reason.

Pégase Pop is making an appearance on these sneakers for SS2019, so this sparked my hope on a reissue!:pray:
Please H, I missed out on this and have been looking for one for at least a year now. As, if given a choice, I would prefer to buy it in a boutique anyway, a reissue would be fantastic! Any size and fabric will do, as long as the CWs are fab. And no messing with the design either! It’s perfect as is.

While we’re at it, please also reissue C’est la Fête, my only other silk HG. A 100 in cotton/silk mix will do. In it’s original CWs.
That’s all. Thank you! :ty:

I’ve been missing for quite awhile, hello to all! I’ve quietly been collecting scarves the whole time.

I would love c’est la fete in a 90, full colors as well black/white/grey. I love this artist and his work! I bought the blue pocket square also which is monochromatic, which I also like, but 90 is my favorite format and it’s on my wish list. I can’t wear shawls, too hot so the 100 shawl monochrome wasn’t an option. Or else I would wish for full color shawls too.
