I've seen a lot of great pre-loved bags lately that I've hesitated to buy because they have heat stamps (usually the seller's initials). Is there a good way to remove the stamps without damaging the bags? I've seen heat stamps on canvas and vachetta.

Initials on canvas are printed, not heat stamped, so it can't be removed. You can easily remove the color of a heat stamp by using tape and slowly lifting the color away from the leather. The indentation is more difficult to remove, however some have had success diminishing its appearance by heating up the leather and massaging it. Good luck!
