Do you prefer the old or new model?

The Mulberry Heathcliffe briefcase (with front-zipper and golden hardware) is now beeing phased out of production. A new Briefcase is released these days, without the zipper and with silver hardware. It also has a "Mulberry" logo on the front. Which one do you prefer? The old or new? Personaly I'm glad I own the old model with front zipper.

I don't own any Mulberry, but I definitely prefer the old model. It looks simple yet elegant. The new model lacks any distinction IMO. It is just plain boring and blah. Nothing about it says luxury whatsoever. It takes more than a name to be a luxury item.

Well, I'm not 100% Agreed. Just look at these new models, "Kendrick" briefcase and messengerbag. I think they are quite cool and classy with the oversized zipper.

Definitely like the old model from the pictures above, but like the kendrick briefcase too.

Older style, definitely. Not a fan of the Kendrick either. Looks like something that belongs in a S&M basement.

I just can't understand why they are discontinuing it, and replacing it with something worse...

I like the old model. I also don't like the new men wallets either, the card slots on the new wallet look to modern for my taste. [emoji52]

I think the old one is a recognisable Mulberry bag & the new one isn't, it looks like an any-brand bag & I'd be none the wiser had it not had Mulberry printed on the side.
