Advice on zipper issue?

Any advice on something I can put on my zipper to my new pink Selby? It seems really hard to pull. Almost as if some cloth lining might be accidentally zipping with it, but this is NOT happening.

I have heard wax will help. I've never tried it.

Wax paper works great on zippers.
