I am long out of college but I think the Carly is a good choice or one of the signature stripe totes for school.

Check out the magazine totes too...I think they have a longer strap so you can wear it crossbody too. I used to think that was sort of a lame way to wear a bag, being the little girly girl I am...but then after carrying 800 page hardcover textbooks all over campus without having time to unload any at my apartment....yeah, 'nuff said.
