DIY:making holes on your short handle LP for a shoulder strap

Dear all, I have attached few pics of my two LP with shoulder strap as below:

I have got few questions on how I did thr strap holes. Here are the close up pictures of the hole & the tools:

Few years ago, I told my hubby I was gg to do this when my longchamp gets older but he scoffed at my idea back then. Love what u did to ur bag!! It's very nicely done :smile:
 
It's so easy to punch grommets with one of those tools! I've never tried it for a purse before though. You're brave, glad it turned out so nicely!
 
I do not use my LPs very often because I am such a crossbody girl! This is so creative, and those leather tabs look like the perfect spot for the holes. I hope to be brave enough to try this!! :smile:

So smart! Have I missed any mods? This seems like a great idea. I've been thinking about using my large lp as a diaper bag but hesitate because of the lack of crossbody option. Yours looks like it was meant to be that way!
