Hey everyone, I'm planning to purchase my first pre-owned B bag, however I need your advise because I never own any B bag and I want to hear some pros and cons of the bag. Also is there anyway to repair the peeling of the leather and how do you lighten dark and cracked handles? The bag i'm planning also lose it's shine ... I just want to ask you guys if it's worth it to buy a preowned bag within $600 with that condition. Give me some advise, thank you :smooch::hbeat:

No offense but I wouldn't pay even $300 for a bag in that condition (the one from Yoogi's?). $600 is still a lot of money. After paying this much you don't want to feel embarrassed carrying a dirty bag. If you are willing to pay a couple hundred more you can find a much better one on ebay.

Thank you for being so honest, I was planning to buy it... ::noggin:
Do you have any suggestion on ebay within $600-$800 range???

I can't suggest any off the top of my head because currently I am not looking for bags on ebay. That being said, a few weeks ago I had a bag on my watch list:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Authentic-Balenciaga-2011-Orange-Brulee-City-SGH-RARE-/171387399405

It was relisted and sold for a bit over $800. Just have to keep watching and be sure to authenticate the bags before bidding/making the purchase.

Good luck with the search!

I wouldn't buy a light color bag as my first bal. You need a fair amount of knowledge to care for light color Bals let along repair or restore it (I know you can send to a specialist but is it really worth it?)
How about black color? I know it's a bit predictable but it's easy to match (don't wanna sound cliche but really, it's a classic), doesn't show too much wear and tear. Even if you carried it, it'd look like you've had the bag for a long time (think Nicole Richie)
What about this one?

(Do get it authenticate by the ladies here if you're interested)

All my B bags are pre owned and other than 2008 sapphire listed in excellent condition. I suggest that you save your money and get a pre-loved "like new" handbag. I got a 2013 Beige Nougatine that looks like brand new to me for $1,000 from yoggies closet - a city bag and I got a like new "day" bag in black with Giant 21 Silver hardware for $900 from a different consignment store. I wouldn't spend $300 on a B bag. I believe this would be terrible and beyond repair.

:amuse: Thank you for all the advises!!! I will definitely do more research before I make my first purchase. I will definitely go for black since it's harder to see the wear and tears, hopefully I can find one before my birthday

They have new black city on hgbagsonline.com offer. Also try the consignment stores mentioned above. You can never go wrong with black.

Also: yoggiescloset has a special sale code: it's welcome75 for 75 dollars off any bag 500 or more.
