Since when did Cartier bracelets come "plated?"

Since they started to cost $150?!?! I shouldn't joke - but I really wonder if some of these buyers don't do the least little bit of researching some of these luxury goods before they start bidding.

Not sure which auction you were referencing but the original bracelets were gold plated

Love bracelet (Cartier)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A recent edition of the Love bracelet (screwdriver not pictured).

The Love bracelet (styled L⊝Ve, with the horizontal line inside the letter "O" alluding to the bracelet's locking mechanism) is a famous piece of jewelry for Cartier designed in 1969 by Aldo Cipullo. The bracelet quickly became popular for its intentional[1] resemblance in function to medieval chastity belts. The earlier bracelets were gold plated, while more recent examples are solid gold.

^^ I actually thought the version from the 70's was a high quality version the one by Charles Revson. but that listing isnt for the 70's version

Like I said, not sure which listing the OP is referring to, when I click on the link I am directed to a list of cartier listings. I was simply responding to her question "since when did cartier bracelets come "plated" " ;)

i know im sorry I meant I actually agreed with you on the gold plated part, I cant see the listing either but I was basically agreeing with you about there being a gold plated version I just wasnt sure under what collection

:hugs:(sorry I misunderstood you)
oh no worries! I should have worded it differently  I actually have a Charles Revson version I purchased from an estate sale and it has held up beautifully. The previous owner hardly wore it, but I have maybe only seen a couple for sale on eBay. From the title of this listing it wasnt a Charles Revson one, but shame on the seller for trying to dupe buyers

The reason you're getting the listing of other Cartier items is because the listings in question were removed.

However I was able to pull up a cache of the removed items:

This is the one Nikki posted:

and this is the sold one I'd referred to:
